I wasn't actually comparing them. But, if you want to compare I'd say Payette's AHL games were because of his toughness and intimidation factor. I think Riley has the better shot, better hockey smarts and hits harder than Payette. As you say, the standard is better now, there are no dud...
This is a good point, but it should be noted that they play different positions.
I personally think that Brandt would thrive under Thommo. He has an excellent hockey brain and could be utilised in a similar way that Thommo used Payette with AC/DC.
Giants fans seem to be very pleased that he’s going- very lazy and coasts through games is their take. Doesn’t sound like a Kevin Moore signing based on the work ethic his team had last season.
I am probably the only one underwhelmed by this.
We need more size in the forward group and it appears we aren’t going to be getting that. I’m struggling to see what part of our identity is going to change given we have re-signed so many of the same players. I was hoping our top signing would...
Stampede is 4th July - 13th July. If the Summit is happening (I haven't seen anything to suggest it is) this year and it's co-inciding with the Stampede it is likely to be on one of the weekends across those dates.
He’s definitely too good for Fire. He’s pretty much EIHL standard with good size. Always stood out for Fife defensively last season.
I’d be happy, but as a 7th D to start.
Haha, the alternative is that they've bought a house in Toledo, which will become home for them. But this is his opportunity to see some of Europe and prepare for life after hockey with a uni deal.
Completely agree with you, except I think they lost the playoffs in the final.
Also, I'm sure Estes was following us on social media before he was announced.

This recent article suggests he’s not planning on leaving Toledo anytime soon. Everything can change in hockey mind!
The last ‘Mayor’ we had turned out great...
Yes, ‘In talks with’ rather than ‘signed’ suggests the Twitter account is taking a punt on this one.
Would be an excellent signing, though. He seems to play Zach O’Brien’s position on the powerplay.
