Flames Vs Devils - League - 21st Jan 24 - FO 18:00

Never doubted it - get in lads!!!! 4 point weekend is great but most importantly Wall is okay, just seen the collision and that could have been so so so much worse

Make no mistake Guildford are a good, well drilled team, second best team again this year.
Great comeback to win on penalties but even if we hadn’t there would’ve been no shame in losing to the Flames tonight.

God how good is Wilde when it comes to penalties and pressure, he is surely Daddy Cool, the more you see this guy the more you like him. He certainly looks settled now, knows his team mates better and is feeling his feet, look forward to seeing him more as it’s a joy.

We have a thousand more fans than Blaze, we have free ice time, we sell ten times the merchandise they do, and we have 4 times therei sponsorship, how is that a level playing field.
Not quite. Blaze had 2600 fans there tonight, that’s only 400 odd less than us. Factor in the cost of living in Cardiff is far more expensive than Coventry. Blaze pay about 200 quid an hour for their ice time, we have to pay rent on the office.

We’re probably slightly better off, but not by as much as you think. IAW will always hamstring our ambitions. I break it down into a few packs in terms of financials; Steelers, Giants, Panthers / Devils, Blaze, Guildford, Clan / Stars, Flyers, Storm. And that’s the way it’ll always be unless teams move to better facilities.

Funny how some posters only post when we’re losing…….
Great fight back to take the game to OT and stunning from Wilde to win us the extra point b
Not at all. Hoping for a miracle in p3 from our Team...but it happened in the ps instead! We admire how skilled and drilled the Flames are but that was a really gutsy fight back from the Devils. Special credit to Wilde and Wall, that took nerves of steel.

If that is true, then maybe the team shouldn’t give these posters so many opportunities to post!
Maybe people need to wait until the end of the game before posting?

Quite a few posters have made themselves look silly once again on here. The game is 60 minutes long. Or based on tonight’s game, 65 minutes plus penalties long.

The aim before tonight would have been to win 2 points away from home against a team who were above us before tonight and above us the whole of last season.
Job done. 4 point weekend.
