Broken hearted when Matthews contract wasn't renewed by the Devils. He plays a special kind of game, still much needed in the Elite League. A fantastic servant of Team GB, the Panthers and the Devils.

He did say at his testimonial he would never be back, didn't say player or coaching role , so I would say he won't be back in any capacity at the IAW

Agreed. We have to get away from this idea that just because you might have liked someone as a player that they'll automatically have great insight as a coach.

I have mixed feelings about Myers. I had great admiration as he developed as a junior, and he has clearly had a distinguished career. Unfortunately, for me I still find it hard to forget about the boycott season and those involved in it.
