Bars in town showing the games in previous years were as a result of personal contacts with Club folk, and it was good business as hockey fans are excellent customers. For me if I could watch it in the Arena with our fans that'd be ideal for me. It isn't for everyone but then neither is the city centre parking situation. There's no perfect solution but this seems to be a damned good one to me.
I wouldn't overestimate the bar spend too much though. I have of course run lots of events at the Arena including games and many, as they're driving, maybe had that one drink and nurse it or have nothing or little else.
Nice to have options and a bar / arena that can house them though.
We have an arena now, with arena benefits AND arena challenges.
