I like the other teams no -nonsense drip feeding announcements as and when, very business like.
No pre-fanfare for the Giants' players, or the Panthers' announcements for that matter.
Fans can discuss/debate actual players instead of drawn out speculation.

Looking at the Giants trying to re-assemble their Championship side plus Sheffield keeping the bulk of this seasons side, we need to seriously tool up with some real quality, otherwise, we’ll be looking at 3rd spot at best.

Let's hope these 2 teams will have loads injured players like we did last season, Sheffield pretty much injury free last season. Only takes 2 or 3 injured to disrupt teams and we had a fair share of that.

STORM | There's a reason they have been quiet with the announcements....Matt Ginn departs for an opportunity in North America.

That's a big loss for them, particularly after three seasons they had and the prospect of a move to a new building. Everything over heard about him is positive, fingers crossed that everything goes well for him in the future.

At the mid-point of May the teams' announced signings/retained from last season stand as follows (in terms of numbers):

GIANTS - 4
DEVILS - 3
BLAZE - 3
STARS - 6
FLYERS - 0
CLAN - 7
FLAMES - 5
STORM - 5
PANTHERS - 5
STEELERS - 2

Not that the above is really of any use - but some people may think that both Stars and Clan have been busy for this early in the off-season. Flyers expected to announce their first signing in October. Quite a few Brits in amongst those numbers and obviously some bigger names for driving ST sales...

Smart money on Waller being announced soon and maybe a Steeler forward...

Scott Allen please, if not Brett neumann

Seems that the following slipped through the net....

BLAZE | Big signing as Kim Tallberg is confirmed as returning to Coventry - would have been on Panthers' radar with Stewart going in there.

Whenever I see the name Tallberg I think 'Halbert' who was obviously at Blaze as well. Halbert is listed as being out of contract at Innsbruck - whose new coach as of this month is Jordan "absolutely robbed by Ben Bowns" Smotherman
