This forum is so predictable. Moaning about scoring power exactly like last year. Very rare I comment on here any more but I vaguely remember saying at around this time last year that we'd be ok not scoring as many because we now have a top drawer defense coach. Same applies this year, keep...

God this makes me feel old

Wow 20 years ago!!!! What a night it was. Straight to the rink from work with zero expectations. A couple of hours later absolute pandemonium. Will never forget it.

I think it's an absolutely amazing signing for Fife. Don't understand it but if he has a good year, I'd expect him to be at a bigger club somewhere in Europe next year.

Totally agree. Remember Bissonnette? Literally iced to fight in the NHL. Came to us playing in a tent and was head and shoulders above the level required to compete. Pretty sure it was a game against the Giants we were losing and he just turned it on in the 3rd period and won us the game. NHL...

Agree with this. Would be a great way to be introduced to the new players etc. I'd bet the players are more excited than the fans about what lies ahead.

Interesting that no one is mentioning goals against over the last few years. I'm expecting us to be harder to score against this year than in recent years. Could make all the difference.

Good to have Riley back. In terms of goals, I think we'll be just fine. No one has mentioned any of our D men in terms of goals. If Fournier is allowed to play his game I expect him to contribute a lot more points. Sign offensive D man in the shape of Andrew Hotham and we're laughing. Also...

I do find your posts very strange. After watching the summit video I feel nothing but positive about the team. Thommo has identified the areas that he feels need improving to fit his system and signed the right players accordingly. Younger, more physical, faster, players for the future, a...

Thommo has always had big physical players on his team. I'm sure we will have a guy who will take no nonsense.

Good to hear. Hopefully it is the start of a new era for them. Be great for them and the league if they can start to become a force.

Great interview to be fair. Eased my doubts.

It would be nice to hear/read an interview with him.

He basically said that he had to look at the future outside of the game.

Not a rumour but does anyone else think Josh Batch may reconsider retirement now Pete Russell has gone? PR never rated him as seen in his GB squads over the years and his strange selections this season with the Devils. I got the impression he was retiring because he wanted to stay in Cardiff...

Is there live commentary of this anywhere?

Not one iota of me agrees with this. Sad hockey days.

When does training camp start?

Rumoured that Matt Myers is joining us as assistant coach. Love this if true.

I'd take big Lou back in a heartbeat. One of the most loyal guys and still tough as nails.
