Hard Men. At last an alternative to Vother. take your pick from Hartwick,
;)

dont really agree with this assesment of Hartwick. Full marks to him for stepping up to the plate with Sharp as he clearly told Prpich he wanted to take him on, but i dont think he is anywhere near a fighter. He has only had 3 pro fights in his entire career. I think he's been pushed into it a little with our ethos and some fan expectation but i certainly dont see him dropping the gloves much mroe this season unless he really has to. I would class Prpich as more of a fighter than Mike.

I think the new team we have is great.
Not to happy with some of the easy or soft goals have been going in.
I think Pprich is class and can be our new Mark Smith.

Seems we play alot better after we get our 1st goal. For example Sunday.

So just a few rough edges to sort out and we'llbe cruising

Prpich is in a class of his own from my perspective. i wouldnt class him with any of the old players we have had and certainly not Mark Smith...he has more fiestyness about him...a unique character and definately an early contender for player of the month

Prpich in his last year in North Dakota played with 6 guys drafted in the 1st round of the NHL draft and a further 3 guys who were taken in the 2nd round.
So he's played to a high standard and by the look of his stats and reputation back there, he certainly held his own.
Really looking forward to seeing what he can do as the season goes on, particularly as hes just coming back from his injury right now.

Love the Defense unit we've got. its nice seeing the devils a big tough defense for once.

Brad Voth and Mike Prpich! what more could we ask for?? id like to see hinks do something though but lets give him time rather than calling for blood like with deschatelets a year ago. and IMO if Latulippe is the one to blame for causing this hold up then sack him already. Next weekend is fast approaching now and he's not even in the country yet?

personally i would like him to come in and miss this weekend....that gives him time to recover from the journey and TRAIN with his team/line mates prior to next weeks games.

From what i have seen so far, with guys coming in late, and one still to arrive, this team dont need to fear anybody. I am sure G knows that as he assembled this fine team, and sure the players do too. A 2-0 loss against a very settled team, a game we could have won, a fine away performance against lots of peoples favourites for the league. And now a team thats beginning to fire on all cylinders, and showing us we are in for a very entertaining season. Classy wins in our last two outings, and players who are shining through, it sure is looking good. If Jay can also put the puck in the net when he arrives, then happy days are on the way, and thats exactly what this great club deserves, keep it going lads, its great to be a Devils fan at the moment, and thats down to everyone involved with our great club.
HAPPY HOCKEY DAYS.

We all agree it's shaping up nicely. MacIver is exactly what we need and needed the last couple of seasons to allow Brad to play his game! Darbs did the same by taking the enforcer role and allowing Brad to hit, score and lead from the front. Pirpich is everything we knew he could be before the injury last year, remember his fight with Bergin, not many would step up to that level of fighter, Pirps did and again this year he will again while showing his class as a playmaker and scorer. I loved his antics against Sheffield especially on a couple of occations tipping someones helmet forward while scating behind them when they are instigating, smart guy. Campbell is every inch a young 'G' and from the moment I saw him playing for the Bison, what a player to have in your team. 'D' is now tough but solid with good sense for positioning, Brits are all raising their game and if Jay (when he arrives) can add to our scoring line then the forwards are looking potent. Great squad, exciting season, come on you DEVILS!
