Think they are a waste of time personally but the bigger thing is how some clubs really big up winning them making it out to be some bg trophy and then making t-shirts etc Clan new one showing them as 4 times conference champions !!!

Only interested in the league trophy first then the other two are a bonus.

It all counts on some level. Over the next few days, there will likely be a decent number of people Guildford saying, “I didn’t even know we have an Ice Hockey team”, as a result of local coverage because they won a trophy. It’s good for the club, the players, and the fans.

Everything’s pretty rosy for the Devils at the moment, so any Conference win is maybe a bit of a by-product of challenging for the league (as it will be for Giants). After this season, Steelers may well regard the Conference trophy next season as a big win for the club (although they are still be close enough to successful seasons to maybe look down on it a bit).

For half of the teams, the league title itself is simply not a realistic goal, but a Conference Trophy is always achievable and perhaps more important than people give it credit for.

The only thing that may make the conference cups worth winning is a pre-season tournament warm up of the conference winning teams, better than the Jafar Cup, sorry Aladin Cup.

The tables on the EIHl website are mostly correct, but the number of OT losses is wrong. We have only lost one Conference game in OT, not three.
