chinny tried it when we had mike ware, never done it again in our barn . Chinny turtled in Sheffield when mikey chased him around the rink and hid behind the net .so funny.

Mike Ware went after Chinny after Chinny beat up his brother Gregg in Sheffield, Mike was as tough as they come. I loved Nicky when he played in Cardiff a local lad, he could score, he could hit, and he could fight and his Mam was a blast, a lovely lady. Chinny was a big game player, the bigger the game the better he played, under different circumstances he would have stayed in Cardiff.

So Busch comes back gets kicked out game after game against us, we are supposed to what....clap him off?

They get a clap when they come back first time. After that they get judged by their actions and behaviour.

Once a Devil Always a Devil? Not when they come back and want to take a dump on our ice. Respect is earned, and can be lost in a second.

I have no doubt that Sanford will be a class act, and will score against us a few times this season. But I doubt that he'll mouth off at the fans, or cup his ears.....he's not Vallerand.

End of the day, 90% of players are mercenaries and don't care about the organisation or fans. A few do, and we love those guys. But I'm starting to feel that Once a Devil etc is just as much rubbish as Hockey Family/Family sport stuff, cliche BS.

“mercenaries” feels a bit harsh but I get your point. Careers are short, earn the money, travel the world but give your all when you’re here. If Brandt left us, I’d expect him to play the same way he did for us, abrasive, physical, he’d be everything other fans hate about him now. I fully expect Sanford to play the same way, daft whacks and hacks and face washes to get under our skin. Busch, for me, is playing how he played for us. He’s an ‘all in’ kind of guy. He didn’t think twice about getting involved to protect his team when he played for us, shithousery included, he did the same for Flames. Clearly something went on when he was here for him to target Barrow but that just all adds to the fun.

Chinny was class! Didn’t back down when Ware, was with Murrayfield, and was stamping on his legs as he was pinned to the boards

The Red Mist was abundant in Mike Ware, he once had a fight during warm up, one funny story was when Mike was in Cardiff, a burglar broke into his flat lucky for him Mike was out, can you imagine if Mike had walked in the burglar would have taken one look and had a accident

Sanford played a big part in winning that banner, and I believe he didn’t want to leave Cardiff so why would we want to rub his face in it. He was one of us for a number of years and put up good numbers.
