Hey Meridian,

glad you are enjoying the podcast. We are hoping to really ramp up the listener ship over the next few weeks and months. including investing in the sound quality.

Any suggestions of topics and things you would like to hear about would be greatly received :)

Cheers,

Gaz

It’s an excellent podcast and I wish they would pull their fingers out and do more. (Only joking),I wish they would do one on the 1997 season
haha, we wish we could do more as well.

Our latest episode went up last night, and part 2 of that will be up next week.

We will definitely do the 1997 season at some point.

Been listening from the start & i think they are great. In a time when nearly all teams in most pro sports are refusing access to the team unless its on their grounds it at least lets us in to the past Devils. Keep it going

Been listening to the Tough Guys episodes today and as a relatively new Devils fan compared to others on here, it's fascinating learning the history of so many names that I've heard before but never had the opportunity to see in a Devils shirt. On a personal note, it's really nice to be able to access the history of the Devils - my parents were season ticket holders when the club started up in '86, and my first game was against the Panthers in the WNIR sometime in the early 2000s, but it wasn't until the first year of the Calgary Four's ownership that I started going regularly. To learn about the players and games that a lot of folk on here mention, it's something I appreciate.

Bit of a tangent now, though - the Tough Guys episode where they discuss Voth lead me to this highlight video:

Towards the halfway mark, there's a fight where Voth and, I think, somebody called Knight had off the ice behind the away bench in the BBT - was anybody here there when that happened? What happened? I remember Joey Martin throwing a water bottle at Kevin Noble a few years ago, and something kind of kicking off there as a result, but this looked like a different league altogether!

If i recall, the players were both escorted off the ice at the same time (both kicked from the game) and up until that game there was no separation between the two locker rooms. The players will still jawing heading off the ice and due to the lack of any barrier they collided again and had a full fist fight (and Voth threw a few headbutts in there too).

A comedy moment, if you re-watch it, is Terry Phillips trying to grab Voth to pull him back before he goes in Adam Knight's direction.

The guy mentioned in Tough Guys wasn’t Brad Voth a Cardiff Legend, it was Curtis Voth. Who some of us thought we had signed.

I think the poster was talking about the podcast episode Tough guys rather than the Documentary of the same name.

But Cheap plug, Wannabe you would probably love the episode we did on the tough guys, feel free to listen here:
