Ben O’Connors best game so far

Some fans including myself have been critical of some of his play so far in a Devils shirt but giving praise when it’s due, I thought he had his best game tonight.
Physical play, protected the middle and overall solid performance.

Well done Ben please continue in this vein and it will be a great season

Never knew Ben could check like that, two big hits one after the other they were two beauties, he had a belter tonight for sure.

Agreed, I’ve been hard on him too but he was very good tonight. Valdix seems to be more noticeable too. I wonder if he wasn’t match fit on joining

Agreed. It seemed a very good all-round performance from him. In fact I don't think that anyone in the team played badly.

I think being benched the other week might be the best thing that could have happened to Ben at the start of his Devils career. Just play solid D, we don’t care about the flash harry stuff or the miracle play.

Ben had a great game. Our Coach looks like he needs all our defencemen to be responsible in all aspects of their role . A smaller roster limits the luxury of having specialists or allowing players a free reign to do their thing as Hotham and Fournier used to do.
Ben is looking more like a Devil every game. The days of orange are long gone!

I was a big fan of Ben before he arrived but have been concerned about some of his giveaways caused by going for the puck instead of the man. But he stepped up his physicality in this game (with clean hits) and looked awesome.
We know what he can bring offensively so if he keeps up the physicality and doesn't give away daft penalties, there is no reason why he should not become a fans favourite.
