Bison: Things take a turn for worse

Thread starter #1
things going from bad to worse for the Bison, todays gazette confirms that there is no money left in the pot, also confirmed that the players were late getting paid last week and resulted in a missed training session. and Tomas has confirmed there is no money to replace any players they feel need replacing. Feel really sorry for the bison fans that they are caught in the middle of this again. It's gonna be another battle for the Bison.

to be fair to Tomas he always said from the beginning he would not be throwing money at the team and that if the right offer came to take the team forward he would happily step out of the way.

I find this very very sad for the Bison fans yet again to be in such turmoil.

They may not be a very large herd, but they do support their team passionately....

It is also dangerous times for the league. Matt has already stepped up to the plate and delivered. The other teams should realise that there will be no league with limited teams to play! I consider fewer than 10 teams to be too few for Pro sport to look viable without being incredibly repetative. especially if you keep throwing in cup games and playoffs against the same teams

taken from the nameless place....

"Shanker was told by Tomas that he wasn't going to receive his final pay. Not that it would be late like usual, but he wasn't getting it. Brad is really torn up about not being able to say bye to all the fans the right way, but he isn't going to risk a potential season ending injury while playing for free.....

To add to the situation, he and his family (and other players) received eviction notices for Nov. 7th. Good thing Shanker and his family have somewhere to go.....not sure about the other guys. These players don't deserve this treatment.

Shanker put his heart and soul into this team since he's been here..... He's done everything he can to help the situation and this is the thanks he gets.
This treatment is not fair to Shanker, his family, his teamates or the fans."

posted by someone only registered in september so I don't know if there is any truth in his statement but it certainly does not look good.
