The season is resigned to history. Ahead of us the Play-offs await. A clean slate and 4 games to glory. First up we have head to head games against Coventry Blaze. For some reason, and maybe its their cup run, I've felt that Blaze are better than either their final standing, or their league record against us show. Fortunately they are a team we've played in the last week so should have a good read on them ready for the weekend.

Just to confirm.

Big day tomorrow folks, get this one right and then finish it off at home Sunday, hopefully we see our Dr Jekyl team on both nights, and our Mr Hyde team has buggered off. Think this one will get a bit feisty and we all get to see the beautiful play off hockey that we all love, if we win this trophy as we are quite capable of doing, and finishing 2nd in the league with 2 Arena teams looking up to us it will be a very good season. So hopefully 4 game’s left for the guys, and also for us so let’s go lads.

I think they start with Stoever. The Team owe him a performance after he got pulled last time he played in Coventry. That might inspire the boys to defend better, collectively. If he stays hot, keep him for the return leg.

Will be a different blaze team going into playoffs devils will need to avoid defeat and come away with a 2 goal lead at least, then its down to us in the home leg .
Really? I’d say we can afford to lose the first leg and still have every confidence winning the tie.

I’ve seen a few posts about the Blaze being a team to avoid but I don’t see it. Their record in March was poor, they’re a 7th placed team almost 20 points below the Devils conceding 50 more goals and scoring almost 30 less. Anything less than a Devils win would be a huge upset and a bit of a capitulation. Plus it’s an easy travel day. Clearly anything can happen, it’s sport, but Coventry are the pick of teams to play.

I thought the same actually, I didn’t see Blaze as any tougher opposition than Clan, Flames, and Storm, we have beaten them 5 times out of 6 season wise. We all know that on any given day these teams can pull it off.

No teams in playoff mode will just roll over and have bellies tickled, I can see a 2 goal lead to devils and thats generous to blaze hope its more ,as we all know we went there in the challenge cup final lost 3 nil and we still found a way to win , its all on the day or days I should say . Good luck boys

I’d be happy with a draw tonight and we take this over the line tomorrow, at home. It’s going to be a very tough affair in there tonight no doubt, and we must be physical and gritty from puck drop, and no later. I’m sure we will, they’ll be pumped. Prediction; 2-2 tonight. 2-1 home win tomorrow.
