It's going to be uncomfortable watching Cole playing for a rival team...he was a goal machine for the Devils. Let's hope he has a misfiring season for the Flames. I doubt it, they are usually a strong attacking side.

In my opinion it’s the right decision to move on from Sanford. Very good goal scorer at this level but I think Thompson wants a group of top 6 forwards with more of a 200 foot game over a 54 game league season. It’s just a shame he’s staying in the league! I’m very confident we will finish above Guildford but you know he will come back to haunt us a few times next season.

I wish him well, but in my opinion he’s not a big miss, and would’ve been one of the first on my get rid list. Poor work ethic and too hot and cold.

We gave him a 2nd chance and done well on times but went missing in bigger games, not all I may add and gave needless penalties away behind play putting more pressure on pk they could've done without . Good luck to him .

Sanford has always been quite feisty for a goal scorer who’s on the smaller size. My biggest issue with him is he’s so short and slight it was just too easy to out battle him at times at both ends of the ice. Not necessarily due to effort.
I think that’s why Thompson has probably sacrificed Sanford’s “X Factor” for more of a reliable (defensively) group of forwards. I do think there might be stretches this season though where we look a goal scorer light.

Definately time was up for Sanford in a Devils jersey, however rather than come back to ‘haunt us’ I see him getting GWG’s against Belfast and Sheffield instead!!!!

Personally I think they will announce a new signing.....and then be like 'you think we wouldn't sign Bubba' and he be an additional signing.

They announced Harewood last summer after they had filled the roster graphic, albeit that's a different circumstance
