I don't think I did criticise.....? My assessment is based on the level at which he has played. NCAAIII is primarily for students who only play sport secondary to their studies, hence no sport scholarship programs.

I think it would be very unfair to compare him to Vez, and I've not done so.

Agree, sign him up before he signs somewhere else and we'll regret it.

Tomorrow im going to go along with the son of an ex devil playing for the devils in persuading Codi Goulet to sign ha ha ha although it will be a few years away yet

On the basis of balance, Welsh shoots righ, Fournier left so you’d assume Welsh for someone else purely on that basis.

If Welsh is a replacement for either Fournier or Estes he will have big skates to fill. I would be disappointed if that was the case.

The optimist in me hopes he is a replacement for MacLean and we are going with 7 D again this season, but a much improved 7. The slightly more realistic optimist in me thinks one of 2 scenarios: he could be a replacement for Ritchie, and we have 3 offensive D men, 1 per pair; or Mosey is moving to forward.

I can’t see Welsh coming here for anything less than top 4 and pp1

Though in that scenario Mosey potentially moves to Richie’s position.

Yup I agree , Welsh is definitely in the first or second D pairing, and I think he will be the main guy quarterbacking the PP. I don’t really see mosey as a third line, shut the game down kind of a D guy, perhaps he will play there for a while with richie when Helgy recovers from injury

Nick Welsh is not coming here to 'cover' for anyone! Look at his CV and experience. He is going to be a top pairing and PP specialist defenceman.

Yes it was mosey I was referring to as cover, I did say Welsh on the 1st or 2nd pairing and the main guy on the PP
