Devils Sign Valdix

Difficult one for him though. Not getting much ice time, won't be fit enough, difficult to prove himself. If he doesn't prove himself he doesn't get ice time. Not the greatest cycle to be in. I see what people are saying though.
I guess the big question with this in mind - why was he signed as short term injury cover, if he was not ready to ice immediately?

I have a feeling that this was mostly down to availability in the current climate, but to be brutally critical - this was and always is an INEVITABILITY that guys will get injured, so to see Valdix was our contingency plan (even though we are still short benched) is a little frustrating.

Another thing to note on the injury front - with Duggan out, why don't we have Harewood icing to make up the extra spot? The guy has some very good wheels and can only benefit from having time with the big club.

I agree about harewood. I'd like to see more of this kid and with specialist coaching I think he'd be capable of making the step up.

Last night you could see the skill that Valdix has BUT there just isn't any pace, he was 2 strides behind everyone else. Will his pace pick up as he gets fitter? I hope so but that is if he has pace left in his locker. Much better game by him and enjoyed his play.
