Devils Vs Ducs - Preseason - 22nd Aug 26 - FO 19:00

Devils face the Dukes of Angers on Saturday night for the second week of preseason. Just one game this weekend, but we know the Ducs fairly well for a foreign team, from recent years. It'll also be a chance to show ex Devil, now a Duke, Reid Duke some appreciation.

My daughter heard someone say that stoever had a knee brace on at the free training session,I recognised bowns and Thomas training but not the 3rd goalie

1 hit would achieve that, but it takes two to tango Sundays game was probably the worse game I have ever seen, and it wasn’t Devils fault. Hope the Ducs don’t take the Micky, like the Bulldogs who bark was a lot fiercer than their toothless bite.

If you ever have 10 minutes Google Angers versus Grenoble last year - those teams really didn't like each other and brawls were so frequent that the French hockey association issued both clubs with official warnings. This year they are likely to be less physical although not by much

Better game than last Sunday (not hard) but not that physical. Even so it was entertaining. Duke showed some great touches and would fit right in to our current side - just saying. Yaremko was everywhere including the penalty box.
Don't think too many people wanted to part with their hats so early in the season, only one hit the ice.
Nice to see the youngsters get some decent ice time. All in all pre season is going well (except for Duggs of course).

Be interesting if we manage to play the Steelers twice next week and not come away with injuries

Good game to watch, Ducs put in a better game than the puppys that turned up last week, nice to see mac get a hatrick , started better this season thank god, D not to bad, bowns saved a few caused by errors, new boys playing well sacratini is starting to be a rink rat like his father, even chirps at players as well as his dad, cracking pick up for us , he's settled in really well. Good to see Duke have a good welcome by our fans as well.

If anyone listened to the podcast it was said that Thommo wanted Reid Duke back last year but he had to go back to America for personal reasons, which is a shame. Think we’d all like to have seen how he’d have gone in this type of side.
