Sorry but this shower of shite cannot continue.. this team needs to be ripped apart and start from the beginning.... but you get the old crap from Todd and management defending them...
Sorry mate that sounds a bit heavy, but we are a very frustrating team. We are 2nd in the league and rightly so, are we 2nd because we are a very good team in a very good league, or are we 2nd because we are a average team in a fairly poor league, the one we are consistent at is being inconsistent. Personally I don’t think the league is great this season, and no one comes close to Steelers unfortunately, and I think it may stay that way for awhile, Steelers are the Man City of the league, and I liken us to a Aston Villa, punching above our weight and very inconsistent, we can never compare to the Steelers financial wise and that’s fact, last nights game for them was triple our attendance, they sell a ton of merchandise and will buy this league for seasons to come, unless Giants can stop them money wise. We bought the league for many seasons at one time, but those days are gone, our best chance of being successful to our punters is by being entertaining, if you leave our gaff having lost, but was forever on the edge of your seat and having been entertained then that’s pretty cool, yes we all love to win but a good night out comes a close second, anyway let’s go devils.

If it wasn't for Steelers being so good.

Devils could have won the league.

Hey ho
On a serious note, if Sheffield weren’t doing so brilliantly compared to most years then this would be turning into an exciting two-horse race.

A month ago the top of the league was as close as it’s ever been. Excluding Sheffield. Cardiff, Belfast, Guildford were all on similar points percentage. Our great run has started to push us away from the rest. But sadly Sheffield show no signs of dropping points either.

problem was everyone kept saying Sheffield will fall off like they always do and genuinely believed it, if i was Fox, i would of printed them all off and put them on the wall. It was perfect team talk topic for the rest of the season .

The saving grace is that their run-in is much tougher than ours. They play mostly against the top half teams.

We still have to play them 3 times which could be massive, and, with the exception of Nottingham (who are our bogey team and running into form) our run-in is much more comfortable (on paper).

They also play belfast 4 times 2 x home then 2 x away last weekend of season

Absolutely no chance will Sheffield lose the league from here, they have only lost 4 games (1 in OT) out of 36 so far!
With 18 games left for them they can afford to lose 6 more games in regulation, including all 3 to us and as long as they win the rest still have enough points to win the league, and that is with us winning ALL of our 19 remaining games!
Every game we lose from here gives them another game they can afford to lose and still win the league.
So let’s say we only lose 3 of our last 19, and that would be great form from us, then they could afford to lose 9, that’s half of their remaining fixtures and still win the league!

It’s playoffs or nothing this year for EVERYONE bar Sheffield this season.
Apart from Guildford who could beat them in the CC final.

That ain’t pessimism that’s facts!

Totally agree it’s for Steelers to lose the title now, and that ain’t going to happen no way. The big money would be on them winning the Slam, forget the pun but they are in a different league to the rest of us unfortunately. Just hoping for entertainment now for the rest of the season.
