That call on bowns was interference, at best interference with intent to injure, panthers done the same to bowns last season, and knew the culprit would get away with it , imagine keefe if that happened to whistle, that player would've had a good slap later in the game guaranteed. Duggan started something he couldn't finish after a clean hit on him, perhaps he's trying to win over thommo for contract time next season, really hoping harewood has a contract in place of 1 of our brits. Let's hope yaremko is ready for next weekend that would give some of our squad a kick up the arse. Which is needed at this stage of season....just saying

On a plus side we play shuff, giants, and panthers , but we need to improve at least by 40% to get anywhere near winning 1 of those games , tonight was well below par .

Livid with that tonight. From the Devil's generally, our D (coughing up turnovers time and time again, not tracking our men), no stomach, no reaction to Bowns getting run by the players or the fans - it's like we just accept it.

I hate that it took a few minutes, and goals, later for anyone to do anything and then it wasn't Helgesen, or Brandt, or LaCroix....it was Sam Duggan.

I hate that Kontos was gliding around and barely chasing. I hate that we lost every battle.

And we accept a level of officiating that is not good for the health of those who watch. Mic'ing them up doesn't help, they don't explain anything and you can barely hear it or if you do the call changes a couple times in the arena and on social media.

Was not a Devil's performance tonight, I half expect PR to do the post match interview.

Skalde was right about this league

God could you imagine if we had Pearson in our squad, he's such a good pick up for panthers.

Couple of players had their worst night in Devils uniform, but felt a lot of hard work from a fair few players. Panthers were just better.

On a side note, feel like our players are consistently offering out opposing teams and they hardly ever bits. Can't remember the last team one of ours was offered out and didn't accept.

Tough watch that. Rightly or wrongly, at least they tried to show some spirit at the end of the game. That would never have happened over the last 3 or so seasons. Bownsy would have been run and we'd be sat on the bench watching the clock count down.
Looking forward to having Yaremko back but it's going to take a good run of games before he hits his stride.

Total shambles from start to finish. Estes had an absolute howler, plenty of players decided not to show up. Execution was very poor, powerplay once again crap and defence was all over the shop at times. No good going after Zech with 2 minutes to go - that should’ve happened as soon as he run the goalie. Failing that, no choice him when he steps out of the box. I believe Helgesen could also possibly get suspended due to being the aggressor for a fight in the final 5 minutes

Mosey racked up big minutes. I presume because of Nottingham’s speed on counter. I think some of our older guard who were good earlier in the season are not performing consistently now, and I wonder if the number of mid 30s and beyond players are hurting us. Booth showed against us that age is not always a barrier but I can’t help feeling we need a younger hungry core. Experience and savvy count for a lot but with the attrition that comes with a full season with fairly small roster you need fast recovery & energy.

After Panthers lost last night, you just know Nottingham are going to be fired up to get a good result. The Devils will have to concentrate and execute for the full duration of the game. No silly mistakes or stupid penalties.

Pearson (?) and Fossier out probably won't make much difference, they have other goal scorers. Our Guys just need to score more.
What a spot on comment

Interested to know what you thought was gutless about it?

Lost to a better team on the night, no shame in it. A few mistakes, but it’s a game built on mistakes. This loss wasn’t through a lack of effort. Devils were still physical throughout, had a number of fights.

Some of you think we should win every game and can’t cope when we don’t.
Completely agree with this. We won't win every game but as long as we COMPETE that is all you can ask.
