Impossible to please everyone - the Devils can only play the side the opponent's put out against us. Good Devils showing without really needing to go through the gears.

Pleasing to see Bownsy well enough to skate out at the end to stand with the team for the Welsh National Anthem. Hopefully only taken off as a precautionary measure.

For game 1 of a 3 game weekend I’d say that’s a decent result and exactly the type of game you want to play without being forced into playing too hard.
Shame that Bowns went off, hopefully available again over the weekend if not this is why we have two top netminders. Plus Mac owes him a face games.

Ritten looked dangerous at times and actually more competitive than I thought they would be, but overall it was comfortable enough.

The two teams in the 2nd game look a level above in all facets. Also more hitting, hacks and whacks and sneaky stuff behind the play from both sides too, so could make for 2 interesting days ahead. Two tough games to win that's for sure.

With the result in the second game going to overtime, Devils need a minimum of one regulation win to qualify for the final. In other words, we now have two chances to get the regulation win to qualify, but hopefully we’ll win both!

In fairness it truly was, fairly poor opposition obviously the worse team in our group, empty rink,no commentary , no clock in the 1st period, no atmosphere except for our fans, poor coverage completely agree pretty boring. No one disagrees you can only play whats in front of you, but what was in front of us was pretty poor, no one can argue with that, we won comfortably because of that. That’s not belittling our team it’s just stating facts.
