The season is heading towards the final throws. Panthers have the Challenge Cup, The league is Giants to loose and the playoffs are within sight. Devils start their three game home stand with a double home header against the Stars. Stars are pretty much adrift at the bottom of the standings with play-offs a distant dream so they will just be playing for pride. It's tight at the top with Devils, Panthers and steelers all within a few points of each other. Panthers are closest reach to the Giants but the gap is still fairly large, and they have to contend with the CC win hangover.

Again it depends which team turns up, team Jekyll, or team Hyde, team Hyde have been Hyding too long this season. There’s only one trophy left guys, you most certainly have the talent and skill especially after blowing the Continental cup, and Challenge cup winners, totally out of the water. You guys need us, and us guys need you so let’s do this, let’s take the final countdown by the Mutts Nutts and show exactly what we are really all about. Would be a pretty neat move to be able to say at the season end HAPPY HOCKEY DAYS.

2 pts gained on shuff and belfast thats all we could ask for, first period I thought dundee were playing the perfect road game until we scored 2 quick goals and never looked back. Last 2 periods dundee didnt offer to much and we just played the game out, was like a exhibition game after we went 3 up. Top of the table getting tight again with results tonight, belfast play panther twice soon.

Strange game. Not sure what quite to make of it. I expected us to have a bit more class and be too strong for Dundee but we seemed to struggle at times. It wasn't a particularly good looking win but they got it done. Stoever was superb. His reading of the game is first class. Whilst his saves are top drawer, it's his poke checks and puck play that's impressive.

Schoonbeart should count himself lucky. From where I sat it looked like a clear check to the head whilst Cap was defenselss. I think if Cap stayed down it would have been more. Credit to him for getting up.

Sanford was classic Sanford tonight. Frustrating with another selfish penalty.

Wonder what the reason the club are not selling the retro shirts, best we've had for a few seasons, maybe it's the logo, who knows.. loved the old music, that intro needs to come back for the 40th anniversary year, and the goal scored .. music reminds me of Wembley playoffs .
They would have to put hands up and say they got it wrong with the new logo.

I thought tonight was a fairly close game. Both nettles made some very good saves. Let's hope tomorrow is another win.

I wonder if the check on Cap will be looked at by DOPs .

I'm guessing they would have to pay royalties to the current owner of the rights to the logo, and selling jerseys would be a step too far maybe ?

Back to the game...
I thought our possession / passing was superb tonight.
Probably the best I've seen it in 2 or 3 seasons.
Has Thommo got it right or did Dundee make us look good ?

Think thommo got it right in most games , but a lot of them were down to players not putting the puck in the net, look at last night .

Hats off to the Devils org for a good retro night. The shirts, the music, the intro, even the old Wembley Goal Horn. Never tired of hearing that on Granstand, even if Des Lynham always hated it.

Does anyone know if Bristol are in the playoffs or fighting for the league as I can't get my head around why Bailey isn't featuring in these games against the Stars? Is he injured? Obviously, he could play tonight but even so, I can't think of a better series of games for him to be a part of. A line with him, Cap and Davies would be good to see. How does he make that step from part time Devil, to full time Devil when he's been less than a bit part this year. I assumed we'd see more of him, especially given the underperformance of some of this current squad.

Did they get it wrong though ??

Have you seen how many items of clothing, with the current logo are worn to games ? ( Home and away games). There are literally hundreds.

Why is nearly every thread dragged down with fan politics?
because it an forum with debates. You noticed how many of the new logo jerseys are now so called game worn. used to be rare to see a game worn jersey, They are pushing them out like hot cakes. It an marketing tactic to push out the older logo. But if you look it the shop, most merch don`t have the new logo on it.

i don`t think the 4th line is his game, i suspect he would be far to quick for Davies and cap. I agree we should be seeing so much more of him, plenty of imports id happily swap him with.
