To concede only one freak goal against a Slovak top league side in their own barn is a hell of an effort. Not sure if Bownsy was fully fit but we protected him so well at the back he had hardly anything to do. Top stuff all round.

Congratulations Cardiff, great effort that to beat them in their own barn and qualify for the final. I believe that the venue for the final is decided after the semi finals have concluded, the participants put in a bid if they'd like to host it. Finishing 1st in your group would be an advantage as it'll give you a better seeding for the draw for the games in the final. We (Panthers) played in the last game of the final in Vojens against the team from Belarus as we were both the top seeds even though the Danes were the host team

And that’s why we love hockey …. What a performance and what an atmosphere …. Genuinely spine tingling at times. Not much more to say other than that was one of the best performances I have seen from a Devils team for some years. Absolutely committed and didn’t give Zilina a sniff once Bowns came in
