Again, based on what I understand from the office (you could always phone them up and check), only if you are paying for it on the night. As far as I know, it's not enough to go along and say "I think I want a season ticket, can I come in" and then change your mind and not pay for one.
If this is true, on the one hand it's incredible that a venue could be booked that potentially cannot even accomodate all those season ticket holders they profess to be recognising. On the other hand in the last 5 end of season events I have been to, I've never seen as many as 500 people(season ticket holders or not), attend one of them.
As to alternate venues, there are a number who could accomodate 500 plus and in the current financial climate, on a quiet Monday night, they would be only to happy to have the business.

I think your 'guessing' is well wide of the mark.
I personally have no interest, and I can't think of anyone I know who has posted on this topic who has mentioned being unhappy at missing an auction or the possibility of bidding on a warm up jersey etc.
This discussion has been about what in recent years has been a traditional (no auction) end of season event open to all supporters to say thanks/goodbye to the players.
Clearly the club should be ensuring there are MANY benefits for season ticket holders. However, this event is not the one to start excluding and causing division amongst sections of what is a small fan base.

I've just read through lots of pages of "I want what you got" I'm a season ticket holder as is my daughter we have been for years, this year both my son and his father died in September/October we missed most of the games befor Christmas, am I expecting my money back? No. Is it nice to know that something has been arrange for ST holder? Yes. Do I think it's my right. No

This is getting a bit silly now surely? Im a st holder as said in the 1st few pages of this topic and i think it's great the club is doing something for us but i do think everyone should have the right to go to this farewell to the players night.. It isn't quite the same just saying farewell in the rink bar after sundays game..Right or wrong, i don't know but everyone arguing and complaining isn't going to solve much. The people who feel strongly about this and think it is wrong then speak to Matt Burge and get him to change his mind. There's not much we can do about it otherwise.

you collectively wanted a new regime with strong management capabilities and a business plan
you wanted a saviour to guide the team through the bad old days of lazy management
The masses wanted a new centre, they got a new centre
the masses wanted replacements for injured players, they got them
the masses wanted off ice entertainment - you can't deny the quality of match night at the arena
sounds like a good idea to have a thread extolling the good and bad of the changes - no not really just being cynical

I want a season ticket for the BLUES - I can't afford one, so I don't get to sit in a premier seat or meet the players - PERIOD!
I haven't approached the board of the Blues and demanded an end of season party in my living room.
the current management steering the club are trying to make the whole entity more professional, to take it away from flat caps, beer mats and whippets.
therefore that means taking the players away from day to day contact with the masses

Let's look at the other big sports club in Wales - Cardiff City FC.
When they play big games the tickets often only go to season ticket holders.
Soon there will be an official open day for the new stadium. Who will be invited to that?

I think in the summer they also have a Meet The Players funday. Guess who that is open to.... Season Ticket Holders.
I'm fed up of casual fans picking and choosing their games and then moaning when they can't go to an important social event. I paid my money back in May last year and you didn't.
The old argument of "I can't pay for it all in one go" doesn't work anymore. The new management have let you spread the payments through the whole year - £6 a week wasn't it?
I'm sure this will have upset a great amount of people but to be totally honest - I don't really care. I'm equally as upset that people are suggesting I shouldn't be allowed to have this one benefit as a season ticket holder.
Also with fundays down the club in the summer, anyone can attend. Same will go for the tours around the ground when they first open.
Obviously the pre season friendlys will be season ticket holders etc as they will only open at 50%,70% then full cap for the 1st 3 games due to health and safety.
Also when the supporters club do their annual player of the year dinner, anyone can attend, not just members or season ticket holders. I know it's organised by an organisation within the club but still offered to all

There is the school of thought that says when we had the bad times non ST holders probably stayed away (not all before I get shot down in flames) in fact St holders probably did but the difference is their money had been spent and couldnt be recovered or saved.
Then as a fan who worked away from Cardiff for a while and didnt get a ST purely due to economics - would have ended up paying for games I couldnt be at -I can see the other side.
I am liking that fact Matt - and lets be honest Bob never did - appreciates the fans prepared to pay up in front (or monthly!) irrespective of the results. As Finny said the weekly outlay was far less than a weekly ticket and the recent run of games in a week must have made a ST a palatable option.
Maybe there does need to be given more thought to how we "reward" that comittment going forward - that said as a ST would be happy to let all fans in and charge them a nominal fee or maybe they could have a ST only session for say the first hour then open house ??? Just a thought then everyones happy

I was on about the big home games like Arsenal. Pretty sure Away Members got no priority for that. And it's unlikely they will for Ipswich either.
