Devils head to league leaders Giants on the weekend for a pair of games at the O. Giants got dumped out of the cup on Wedneday by a hardworking Blaze team. Will they be hurting and seek to take it out on the Devils or still be shellshocked from getting spanked by the Blaze. Giants have a healthy lead at the top and only signed a couple of extra players this week (so far) so any points gained should make the top of the table more interesting

Anyone going over to watch us potentially get thumped and looking to watch the Bluebirds table top clash against Lincoln on Saturday lunchtime?

Let's hope all the fans gone over got something to shout about, especially catching belfast on a downer not qualified for cc final, the pressure is more on belfast than us, the lge has gone we are just playing for pride to finish as high as we can and get ready for the playoffs , and I'm sure thommo and management have given the players some home truths this week on results on a downward spiral, either play for the badge or contracts will go to players who want to play for the badge , either returning players or the newbies we been promised .

Let's hope the playing staff witnessed wales never say die attitude last night in Dublin some of those hits were outrageous , let's hope we can throw a few like the rugby team and put belfast off their game, it nearly paid off for wales, I'd prefer to see the season out fighting, rough and tumble type of play , not just turn up like the last home game v belfast as if they were already thinking of the summer . Even keefe was surprised we didnt put it to them, think it was 6 mins penalties, that a no no in games v belfast, so devils up to you lot just play the season out namby pamby style or show some effort and spirit, not shown the last month or so....just saying

The trouble is passion can’t be turned on and turned off like a light switch, it’s either in your DNA or it ain’t, Wales are obvious all Taffies playing for your country so there’s no comparison. We have a few that give their all as it comes naturally, but we also have some that give all they got, but they just don’t have a lot to give. Some will have the attitude we are out of the cup, we are out of the league so why take a chance getting injured and some will have the attitude we need to go into the play offs after a few wins, but don’t hold your breath this weekend Belfast will want the chance to atone to their fans after being dumped out of the cup, and losing their grand slam dreams. Anyway the main thing is that the travelling fans have a good weekend, irrelevant of the scores, they will have some hope although that may lay a bit dormant, but hopefully the weekend will still be enjoyable and a safe journey to all.

Deffo - as you say, Keefe was surprised how easy they had it during our last encounter here, as did Fox the last few games against the Steelers. We did have a bit of a rally call between us fans before the game against Sheffield last weekend, but it was flat from the outset as Thompson alluded to in the post game interview. Really hope we can stick it to them this evening - we know there is a team in there that achieve this, but whether we do or not is anyone’s guess at the moment. A lack of Caponi to again set that tone from the offset is a bit disappointing, but it’s up to the others to set the tone on not rely on him to get them firing.

As mentioned in other games against the top 3, if we try to out-skill them I fear we will again come out short, but if we aim to unsettle them and get under their skin, we’ll stand a chance. Both teams should have something to prove tonight so it could be an interesting encounter, but I do fear that with Belfasts exit from the Challenge Cup in front of their home fans midweek they’ll be a bit of a wounded animal - I don’t like playing Belfast when they are wounded. Lol. Hope we do ourselves proud though, lets be positive and I hope the fans that have travelled have a great time - and something to celebrate!
