Definitely.
Sean Bentivoglio was also a great player for the Devils, however his last season before retirement was in my opinion one too many. During that last season you could see the effort and desire was there but it just wasn’t happening for him!

Joey is such a smart hockey player he will know when the time is right!

I think the GOAT has another season in him even helping others by dropping a line , now that would frighten some teams next season . But if the coach is happy where he is carry on as normal I say .

Completely agree. Had a few in more recent years kept on for too long for sentimental reasons. Sean was one for me that sprung to mind, Morrisette, Louis, cox. There's a couple now I'd call it a day on, but this isn't the time for it.

I take your point on stats, I do get you, but his second season was an obvious drop off in on ice performance and his third was obviously a year too far which was my point really. Could see it coming as could most. Was playing on the top line and scored ten goals whilst skating around most nights without a care in the world
