Certainly sounds like helgy and Estes are back, and if that is the case that’s a huge statement, adding Welsh to a very strong D core along with keeping bowns and stoever.
With there being a few mentions of the brits earning their stripes on the 4th line it looks like caponi won’t be back

To be honest I’ll be surprised if there’s only one more new signing. I think we could do with another two new faces up front. Helgesen and Estes to be confirmed on D and then Macdonald, Kontos and Yaremko up front + two newbies.

Let’s say in the forwards we confirm Macdonald, Kontos, Yaremko, Brandt + one new signing. That’s not enough changes for me. We finished last season brilliantly but before that we looked toothless up front far too often.

Surely Yaremko is the ‘new’ signing given that he missed the majority of the year. He was a big part of our success in the last 6 weeks, when we finally had a pp that worked (had that come at Christmas we’d have had the league wrapped up) and chemistry throughout the lines. We will hit the ground running this year. And in my opinion, whilst Flames and Storm look like they’re improving the top teams don’t look like they’ve upgraded.

I'd be suprised now if Thelin does come to Cardiff. Hes 33yrs old now. Hes rumoured to be going back to Sweden.

My two guesses would be,

Swetlikoff looks a good signing, and from Kelowna we have signed quite a few over the years from Kelowna including fans favourite Mark Smith, now there was a great scorer.

Think there will be 5 signings to announce still. At the Summit, 3 returnees and 1 new signing, I'm guessing. Leaving possibly the biggest new (and final) signing announcement on its own for next week.

Given the increase of revenue they wanted from tickets for players we wont see that statement forward signing, it seems most of the top 6 forwards will be the same, if that the case I think other teams have got stronger than us.

I wonder if one of the remaining signings will be an European. He always had at least a couple on the books in Sheffield, including on the bench as an assistant. We have a Swede as an assistant now, and he won in Denmark.

He obviously respects and appreciates their style of play very much, was surprised we didn't have one last year.

I don’t think this time next week we will have the league and playoffs already won, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being optimistic about this team and what it can achieve. Look at last summer, most said we only had enough goals in the team to finish 4th

Just hope brandt is back he scored 18 I believe and made up for our shortfall from the forwards that couldn't hit a barn door at 1 stage of the season in many games.
