Admittedly I've not been to a huge amount of games this year, but purely on output you'd have to look at Duggan here right? Didn't receive the "A" as in previous years, points output is low - and I would take Davies over him personally. Could see teams in the NIHL making a nice offer for his experience.
On paper I fully agree with you.

But having seen the videos from awards night and how the rest of the guys talk about Duggan, I don’t think he’s going anywhere. Every locker room needs the guys that keep things loose.

For me, it’s Perlini. I feel he’s got one foot in retirement, and his spot on the third line is where I see Bayley fitting in for now.

Agree about Perlini. If Logan Neilson is joining as rumoured then I think he would do good on the third line to replace Perlini. He‘s 23 and 18 points in 37 games for a poor fife team isn’t a bad return at all.

Working under Thommo, who has a history of getting the best out of young Brits, he could be a major success and cornerstone of our Brit core for 10+ years

I can see him being the one making way for Harewood

In his turn on the podcast (Insider episode 25), Bayley said Logan Neilson was his best friend in hockey, so maybe they could work well together.

I'm swimming against the tide here, it appears, but I'd keep Perlini.

If Harewood and Neilson are going to be brought in, that would mean 8 Brits. With the import limit at 15, that means dressing 5 Brits every night.

Bowns(35), Thomas(18),
Richardson(40)
Duggan(28), Davies(35), Perlini(36), Harewood(23), Neilson (25)

Last season we ran with 6 Brits to ensure that nobody got complacent. This season just gone Thomas was used as injury cover, so not really part of the Brit Pack. As long as they were fit, Bowns, Ritchie, Perlini, Duggan and Davies all dressed.

If we go back to having 6 Brits, and presuming that the import limit remains as it is, we have to consider the ages of the players. It could certainly be that in time both Harewood and Neilson end up in the Brit Pack.

I could see Bowns retiring after his testimonial, due to injuries. Then there's real risks over Ritchie and Davies - especially Davies as a 4th line forward.

What if Bowns and Davies retire and Ritchie goes into player coach as cover. Suddenly Duggan and Perlini are valuable Brits....

All wild speculation of course.

Anyone think bowns will retire or move on, pretty sure there will be offers flying around for him , replace whistle maybe at giants, or stay on these shores , if he wants #1 status I would say flames .

Where has the idea that Bownsy would be leaving come from? Aside from retirement, I don’t see him going anywhere.

I’ve not always been his biggest fan, but he was absolutely solid this past season, he is definitely still 1A material with Stoever as a 1B.

Stoever will be 1A now for sure, especially if we want to look to the future etc.

Don’t shoot the messenger here …..

Some very reliable sources have informed me that Todd is stepping back from MC duties next season and Dave Simms has accepted a big money 4 year contract to step in to add that much needed match night razzmatazz!

Allegedly, Simms said “ I couldn’t turn it down, I thank the club for the recent hike in prices, of which 99% will be landing in my back pocket, go Steelers, oh I mean go Devils”.

I mean wow, talk about holding a grudge and trying to be funny, nailed it! Majority of your posts last few years have been about the gantry and now the cost increases. I don't know if anyone else actually finds it funny but its getting boring
