So Sean Avery has been banned indefinetly for his latest outburst ...

My first thoughts were that its just trash talk and the league are over-reacting but then think about all the press releases coming from Sheffield I started to think it would be nice to see the elite league take a similar stance (although maybe not as harsh!!) on comments that bring the game into disrepute.

Avery is a punk and the longer he stays away from the game the better. He has a history of running his mouth off including two counts of racism that couldn't be proved, so it wasthe straw that finally broke the camels back. Interesting to note none of his Dallas team mates came to his defence,in fact most seem not to want him back at all. You reap what you sow. Shame the Eihl don't take the same line here.

Saw his rant on TV - absolutely pathetic and no need for it. What made it even more sad was the fact that he called all the press over to him and waited for them before saying what he said.

Wonder how he'll be treated on the ice if he plays again?

they should have let him play. phaneuf would have killed him! (an if not him perhaps he could have had a 'bertuzzi' special)

The Stars have given Avery the boot :lol: :lol:. Hopefully this will be the end of Avery in the league. Avery and sharpe in one week, too much to ask for? ;)
