At one of the Q n A’s Todd said about someone on Twitter who was outraged about something and said they wanted to cancel their season ticket, when he contacted him to cancel the ticket, The guy had magically changed his mind, talk is cheap, it doesn’t always lead to action. For the people who think that ticket price increases are going to affect attendance numbers next year I think you’re going to be disappointed

Assuming the results are and stay accurate poll is not a measure of whether all STs will sell but whether existing ST holders will renew
It would be interesting to see the position when the renewal window closes

If you know somewhere that sells Guinness at £5 a point could you kindly say where, and you most certainly wouldn’t get that at any other rink or venue. I’m in Belfast too regular and you wouldn’t get a Guinness at £5, you would get a better pint but not at £5.
Llandaff Institute £3:95,, Ely Social (for you Glynne) £4:10

Agree people will still fill the bowl and I wouldn't imagine anyone who has decided to not renew and maybe pick their games weekly would necessarily be doing it to make a point, it may be just a little too expensive for them next season and they've decided to take a step back.
Yes people also go on the offensive and state they won't pay those prices knowing full well when the time comes they will as usual renew.
Two adults and two under16's would cost as much as a good holiday in the Med for two weeks.
You pays your money and you takes you pick.

I empathize with anyone who wants to renew but genuinely can’t afford it. There will be some of those unfortunately

I do feel a massive disengagment from the Devils recently.

Countless new shirts per season which I know brings in ££ but also makes me feel a bit exploited as they "devlaue" the regular home kit which is used less and less.

Price hikes for both ST and Match night tickets well above inflation prices, with a "like it or lump it" attitude which seems to hold fans in some contempt, while playing on FOMO as "there's plenty who will have your seat if not"

This year especially, match night tickets becoming harder and harder to get to the point its almost impossible to get them unless your in the online queue within the first 5 min.

The match night "hidden" extras of parking food / drink / merch / SOHB / 50-50 which is all a little bit more than it should be compared to other places / clubs which again gives me a feeling of being taken for a mug.

Thr lack of sunday eve games has also hit me hard as sat nights are just impossible for me to attend, meanwhile when I can go, the type of supporter has changed to something more akin to the prinicipality at its very worst - simply swap "come on shane" to "come on joey" and you get the idea.

Its harder to get to games...when.im there im not enjoyi g as much and am paying more to do so

Very nicely explained, there are people who will find it difficult to pay the extra but it does seem a little bit of "this is the price do you want to pay it but just so you're aware we have a waiting list willing to have your seat"
It's a product that atm is in demand in a facility that can't cater for the demand, any good businessman would see it as a chance to make a little bit of a killing and see how far the narrative takes them.
I'm not a season ticket holder so not really a decision that I need to make but I have been attending since season one, not the first game (Ashfield Islanders) but probably about game four or five.
All I can say is look at your priorities and the outlay involved and either take it or leave it, after so many years of Devil's history some people may find joining the lottery that is buying match tickets online suits their needs better as I can understand many will still need their hockey fix

Do people think that this is a decision forced upon the management/ownership due solely to rising costs? or maybe a genuine attempt to put us amongst the big spenders? maybe it's entrepreneurship at its finest, aka if there's a demand take the opportunity to make a bit of a killing?
Maybe it's a combination of things that I've not mentioned above, but to be fair to Todd he's given s/t holders plenty of time to chew on it.

To be fair to the Devils I don't think there is anything malicious in the price rises. I understand that for some it will be a step to far, but as Todd said, the rink is getting older and needs maintenance. Add to that the rise in energy prices which can't be cheap for an ice rink.

I also think there is some wage inflation going on as the standard of the league is getting better. Lets face it we all want to compete with the 3 Arena teams.

I’m 100% cancelling my 4.

I’m aware the club don’t care if 32 different people sit in those seats in a season or if I sit in it 32 times but I can’t justify the new costs so over to someone else.

Poor management of the arenas sinking fund if they’ve needed to bring those fees in to cover a known aging asset.

When you take over or start a new business your business model must accommodate all fixed and variable costs predictions, depreciation costs and inflation year on year. Its then you balance this with income predictions + profit. Once this has been calculated will then show your selling costs (ticket costs) year on year.
