Completely unsustainable!
Trying to keep up with Sheffield and Belfast is suicide for this league.
Never mind putting up the prices by 20% why not deal with the ‘Elephant in the Room', that is the uncontrolled spending of the big2, without the likes of the Devils and the rink based teams they won’t have a league to play in.

Sheffield, Belfast and to a lesser extent Nottingham have a completely different business model and the other teams will never square that circle!

Look at Welsh rugby, when they were winning, tickets were a nightmare to get, and if you did, you had pay top money, team started losing, hardcore fans were pushed out and refused come back, we will not always keep winning games, free lesson here and Devils have put a big finger up to hardcore fans. Once a few newbies see the cost of coming to a game now, they wont come back. word of mouth will spread and we will have the rep of what rugby got at the moment!

Family 4 - Tickets 100
4 chips and curry £18
4 bottles pop 10.80
2 kids teddies £40
Parking £5
chuck puck/50.50 £10
fuel - £10
£193.80!!!!! and to compare it to bowling is frankly out of touch! How is that affordable? Then to say we want to keep it affordable for families, that not value! 5 games at that price will get you a holiday for a week!

A few will pull out renewing no doubt , think a lot will pull out of buying 5 or 6 pre season friendlies i should imagine as well, to compensate the increase, let's hope devils put out a team to celebrate the 40th anniversary, anyone know has thommo signed a 2 year deal ?

my silver senior up 130.00 is now 644.00 plus car parking potential 200.00 on top, I would rather lose my webcast offer and have free car parking, or even half price car park for season tkt holders only, just saying
That won’t happen as the webcast costs the club zilch, where as free parking or half price parking costs the club money.

I must say even I’m surprised at a near 20% increase but we know what the management are like - “show me the money”!! And TK keeps peddling the myth that the standard of play in the EIHL is better than it’s ever been. Not for me it ain’t, the quality is nowhere near pre-Covid days.
What crazy is an AHL ticket is between $20 and $30 and we are no were near the standard of that league.

Let’s look at the positive, at least we can afford the high end sniper everybody wants now. Going to be a bit of pressure on summer recruitment this year

At the end of the day they know it's a win/win.
If say 100 ST holders don't want / can't afford the price increases then there are probably 100 already on a waiting list, or alternatively that's 100 walk-ups which will be snapped up immediately plus don't forget the extra booking fees on top.

Explained very well and justifiable under the circumstances we live in and expectation to compete at a higher level to our competitors

facility fee on top of the booking fees now

but that model is not sustainable, look at WRU, Cardiff city, ect, once the results go bad or have a bad season, them type of supporters go missing. Most non hockey fans come for fighting, get pissed or big hits, once that gets smaller and smaller which it will, were the hardcore supporters then.

Looks like we will be downsizing as a family, which to be fair we were probably going to do anyway, but this seals it. We have STs because we enjoy the company around us and if we get ad-hoc tickets we simply won't get our current seats. The other benefits don't make any real difference to us - we go to games not get the webcast, the ST jersey doesn't look to be exclusive this year, the benefits in the shop dried up....

Devils have been better this year entertainment wise, true. But we also have to be realistic that Devils is a luxury and if we can't afford it, or that money would be better spent elsewhere, then so be it. I understand that costs go up, I get it, doesn't mean we suddenly have another couple hundred quid to chuck at the Devils. I feel for the people who have been STHs since the beginning, are now pensioners and don't have the flexibility to work a few extra hours or cut back on other bits.

In 2026 its far easier to be a home fan that it would have been ages ago - all the goals, hits, fights etc are either in highlights or social media clips; if you want to follow live there's FlashScore or buying the Webcast. I can watch at home, drink a more reasonably priced pint, not pay to park, swear as I see fit, and don't have to get to the Bay in traffic. They even do SOHB online now. Its not the old days when you had to be there in person to witness things.

The downside would not be seeing our friends, but we can arrange stuff for that, and yes not seeing it live in person will be different...but change happens.

Given the price of season tickets, it would be cheaper to just have a watch party with people, one buys the stream, another pays for drinks and someone else buys the snacks.
