I've been arguing for years for an NHL.TV style streaming service but I'd be amazed if it ever happened.

I should imagine the webast prices will go up in line with the mandatory mobile networks 3.9% every april for phones, my virgin media the same 3.9% council tax been touted at 4 % plus, water rates will go up from april, all adds up plus 20% increase season tkts. The list is endless , I will renew my tkt as its the 40th anniversary, but cutting back on purchases inside the rink , beer, food , sohb , shop,will give pre season games a miss first time ever which will be 5 games usually, shame the club can't do a season tkt just for lge games pretty sure panthers done it years ago, and let fans decide if they want to pay for cup games which is getting stale yr in yr out and always the same outcome belfast with the mandatory final, for the life of me why Sheffield can't join that weak group is beyond belief. Needs a big overhaul that comp. ,had my rant until the next one, ...just saying

That would require the EIHL progressing from 'p*ss up in a brewery' levels of organisation

I really hope the league set up some form of streaming package. I can't justify a season ticket with work commitments, I can't get any tickets for a game with the queueing system (by the time I get through there are only a few single seats left). Also £16+ for a one off stream is diabolical. I'd be willing to pay £50+ a month for a pass for all games

It's very interesting to see how many are considering whether to renew or not and I get it that it's a dilemma for some that if they don't renew they may never get a ST back again.
I can say that from my own experience walking away is not the big scary thing it first appears to be. My first Devils game was back in '89 vs Murrayfield Racers and I was hooked to a Devils seat ever since, many years.
I took the decision to walk away 3 years ago, gave up my ST and moved on, a bit strange first and a period of adjustment, but I've had a Cardiff City ST the last 3 years and probably spent in excess of £2K on 2ST and clubshop merchandise since.
I saw the Devils changing in many ways and I just felt it to be cold and not the club I knew anymore so the decision to move on became strangely very easy.
Times change and the Devils won't be missing me.
I guess for a lot of people right now it is very much a crossroads moment. It will be interesting to see how the support goes next season, actual game night support that is, not the social media hype by the Devils front office.

I started to not enjoy my hockey so much going back about three seasons ago, I found many games quite boring but on the other hand really enjoyed other games, I started missing games maybe three or four to start with then after three seasons or so it was down to over half, I'd say I've been to about four maybe five this season and maybe it's bad luck on my behalf but I can only think of one that I really enjoyed.
The probability is that I have watched my last Devil's game and I can honestly say it's no big deal for me.
Like yourself I have joined the revolution down the City and I enjoy the football that they're currently playing, together with local youngsters really making their mark on the team and the league.
I believe we're the top scoring team in the whole of the EFL.
S/T wise it's probably £200+ cheaper for an adult and £300+ cheaper for an U16 than the price that is being asked next season down the Devils.

Yes I can relate to what you experienced with boring games, my last ST season I definitely felt that too and missed games myself, it was becoming a chore to get to the games so I kind of went through a similar phasing out over my last season or two as a ST holder. My last season I definitely felt it just wasn't the same so my decision to move on was strangely very easy after many years as a solid and loyal fan.
Yes I too love my Cardiff City matchday now, so many talented kids coming through the junior system and progressing, it is great to see.
But I still enjoy watching ice hockey, I just get my hockey fix on different platforms now and I look out for the Devils results.
I just feel for the people who are weighing up the costs for renewing their Devils STs at the hiked up prices. The most expensive ticket in town.

i fear that the cost of going to devils games is out of reach for most working class people , and they cant justify the cost. especially family's , it has become a luxury item . it will be good for cardiff canucks thou. a better option and you get to see junior players improving .

How much for two adults and two under16's in 'silver'? It comes to £2,352 if my maths are correct.
If you factor in all other things that you may or may not spend money on on a match night it takes it to quite a bit more than that over a season.

Still no response to all these people from the club. What gets me is that Todd can put a video out saying the season tickets are going up and it's like it or lump it as fans get no chance to ask questions. If it carries on like this year after year with no improvement in team, we may be looking at another season with no fans.

Why do people think Thommo might move on, he didn’t come here for 1 season and he won’t be going anywhere, this isn’t his team so can’t be held to answer the bell on someone else’s team. Let’s hope things improve because at the moment we aint much of a threat to the big boys.

There was a good post on Twitter comparing Belfast average attendance by cheapest ticket available cost an what income that would bring versus devils. Belfast still earnt more despite lower prices due to the capacity and average attendance being significantly higher. Just interesting to see what we’re competing against and to be competitive why costs have had to go up.
