So with Belfast putting prices up, the whole point of trying to get closer to the arena teams have failed? only people who will benefit from this is owners/club and the players?

Well it wouldn’t have failed though as the gap would be even further if they hadnt.

The only way the players would benefit would be if we got the same players and paid them more money, which would be stupid. The idea is is we’d get better players.

Are you insinuating that the club putting prices up is to pay the owners more money? That’s a wild suggestion.

Have to say, calling Josh Pitt a miss is a bold move bud.

He was almost a point per game that season he was in the league.

Thommo as you said brought in Nelson, Desbiens, and Armstrong.

Not to mention Roy, Mosienko, Matheson…

I believe Mosienko and Roy were recruited by Gerad Adams!

Although Thompson was responsible for signing the massively underachieving and aspiring estate agent Yared Hagos!

Neal Martin was one hell of a player who should have played at a much much higher level in his prime. His 18 year old lad (Hudson) is currently playing in the OHL.

I personally thought he was absolutely terrible, one of the slowest skaters you will ever see and I’d say he was the best of a very very bad group that year. We all see the game differently though!

Thought cruishank was bit of a goon , thommo sent him on the ice to batter our brit line , no one could touch him that day , think Ritchie had a go at him to save face of all the others being rag dolled by the goon ,

Best of a bad bunch is about right.

The comment on being a slow skater makes me think of Matt Register…horrendous skater, lots of our fans (including me) didn’t rate him - but look at how he’s regarded in the US…crazy.

Not with you there buddy , 43 points from 53 games from a D man is pretty cool, big pts in the ECHL didn’t take stupid pens I liked him myself.He then went onto have 173 pts in 218 games in his further 3 ECHL seasons thats 55 pts per season. What’s not to like.

The Cardiff Devils are not a charity.

The energy crisis is hitting rinks more than anywhere, a 70% increase in energy costs but you don’t expect that to be passed onto the customer? And remain competitive?

Rink rental around the country was around £120 per hour in 2020, it’s around £250 per hour now.

If anything, per the news this week wholesale energy costs across the board are coming down!

Cost of commercial energy was 12p kWh in 2020 the lowest it’s been in 2026 is 22p but currently 29p. It’s not a secret hidden in the depths of the internet it’s very publicly available.

It isn’t. 12p to 22p is actually a 83% increase.

No wonder you can’t get your head around these ST price increases.
