I got an early bird tkt for vitality blast game v Northampton steelbacks for the game in July. 10.00 + 1.00 booking fee not bad for 3 hrs play ... 25.00 matchday price.

A few years ago we were getting average gate money for games involving scottish clubs especially midweek games, 3 fife games and as far as I know the other 2 scottish clubs games have been sellouts at home, Including the DH coming up v Dundee , so the club are doing something right and sellouts are the future of the club , long may it continue I say . And I am renewing mine at a struggle as done so the last 39 ish yrs. Weekends wouldn't be the same with out ice hockey 7 months a yr...just saying
Have the Fife games been sellouts simply because of the hundreds of guides? Would they have sold out ordinarily?

It looks like everything sells out these days, friendlies as well , even testimonials, I bet Richie wishes his was now instead of a Wednesday night back in the day

Can’t see that happening myself, as you say league only season tickets would be cheaper but then the other 5 games may well not be so well attended costing the club money, and in times when the club are trying to increase income it’s probably a no no.

The way to get extra income on the challenge cup is get to the later rounds 3100 x 21.50 inc.booking fee across the board=£ 66,650 on tkts plus cafe, bar, 50/50 , shop, SOHB could be touching £ 75,000. That should cover 2 top end snipers.

The trouble is the club like others rely on the upfront season ticket conviction to enable them to set up their affordable budget, have less up front conviction and you get a less up front convicted budget surely.

But there’s never any guarantee that we will get to the later stages, as this season has shown, so less conviction from us surely then means less conviction from the club, it’s all a balancing act.

Yet if rumours are true they aren't taking on any new season ticket holders, regardless of whether some current season ticket holders don't renew. So they are obviously budgeting based on being able to sell individual game night tickets anyway.

Correct they aparrently ain’t increasing the 1600 season ticket figure, but with people waiting in the wings to replace any non renewable folk then they will keep the 1600 season ticket numbers, hence the same amount to set a budget by.

Nope, I heard differently.

Even if they only sell 1100 renewals, they are not going to bring more in to make it 1600.

Yes sorry mate I misread your earlier post, still recovering from celebrating last nights win. I was under the impression that the 1600 season ticket figure would be retained so if 50 didn’t renew then 50 newbies would be accepted. Sorry for the confusion.

No problem at all.
I hope I’m wrong, it’s just what I heard. Someone I know has been told they likely won’t be able to get season tickets for this reason.
