Helped by their attendance and arena size in Nottinghams case, Manchester have had a good season and quite a few sellouts , so hopefully keep it going with the extra fanbase they've been having , so obviously dont want to rock the boat with a very small arena. And not forgetting storm are in talks of getting a bigger / better rink so will need to keep their fans sweet.
One can always try to justify the situation, but the stark reality is, if Steelers and Giants have whacked up their prices by a comparative sum (with far bigger arenas), then surely we’re being asked to pay more to stand still!

You are being asked to pay more for your Saturday/Sunday night out - and if that floats your boat then great, but the situation remains the same for the 26-27 season, there is no benefit or reduction, it’s the status quo but you are paying more for the pleasure!

So what bridges the gap? The owners have stated this is a passion project, but have they taken it as far as it can go? Is the league now too big for them? Are we destined to be a 4th place team forever as the game and the finances and commitment have now moved on ??

If so, what’s the difference, between coming 4th, 5th or 6th ?

From my point of view and knowing the situation with the Arena teams, my desire is to be entertained and to watch a team that’s totally committed. If we win then great but if we lose and I leave our gaff having been entertained, and watched a team leave it all out there on the ice and had my moneys worth, then so be it. I compare us to a Villa team playing in the premiership, we ain’t the biggest and richest but on our day we can compete with the best. Loving the sport is the main thing and that’s what kept us going all these years.

I've renewed my ST despite the 26% increase, mainly because of the 40th anniversary. I've said all season we're a 4th place at best team. I hoped to be proved wrong but it's not to be. However I expect a vast improvement in entertaining play next season as I've thought a lot of games this season have been awful. People are saying this isn't Thommo's team, well those who've been doing the recruitment should step back and let him get on with it. If next season is the same as this I may well be out.

Agree he needs to get the players he wants , and build a team around them , seems like every season we MUST sign the core players, but those core players ain't been doing it are they , would love to see at least a dozen new players with the extra money the club will be getting .

It’s a 3,000 seater mate in Trafford City next to Chill Factore, operated by Planet Ice anticipated completion for the 26/27 season. Anyway we will wait and see as I can’t see it being ready by then.

Franny and kelman are the culprits, I'm still haunted by josh brittian signing when franny said legit power forward 6ft 5 and played like powderpuff

Definitely not by the start of the season. They might move during the season, but 27/28 seems more reasonable.

Maybe not next year, but Storm are banking on boosting their budget by filling 650 more seats. Despite the possibility of getting more seats in the Vindico, it won't be that many.

Not much to do with Devils season tickets, but the population of Greater Manchester is 3M, almost the same as the whole of Wales, so despite the presence of two world-renowned football teams in the city, 3000 doesn't seem very ambitious, particularly given the Devil's current situation.

That said, when they aren't consistently selling out 2350 it is hard to justify a business case for a 5-8k arena. It's the same dilemma as Cardiff SORAC faced. If you are only selling 1500-2000 tickets per game, telling the powers that be that within a few years you'd fill 5000 would sound wildly optimistic.

Spot on mate, that’s exactly what we faced but we also needed two pads to service all ice users, we had the same problems then as whats still happening now. And don’t forget we were still and continued to get free ice time amongst all the political squaller, SORAC done very well under difficult circumstances and we certainly ended up with a nice facility. Even though Goodway and Co said it would never happen.

Be careful what you wish for. Thommo signed some absolute stinkers for Sheffield, I hope he isn't given free reign with us. Needs to work together with Nicklas and Franny.

They turned out to be stinkers but on paper they had C.Vs that should have torn up the league.
There were so many that it would suggest a lack of research and due diligence on the players. He lost his job mid season due to the rubbish he recruited.
He needs to be heavily involved in recruiting his team of course, but not left completely to his own devices. And I'm sure he won't.

Got my season tkt before the game, let's hope we see more of the same as our performance in tonight's game next season with our promised money going into the team and big new signings, balmas anyone ? For starters.

Fans don’t feel like they are unimportant, fans know they are unimportant that’s truly obvious now, take it or Sod off is the latest news on the street. The club has moved on from loyalty, caring, and being customer friendly, the New Kids on the Block are where it is now, come on guys get with the program, we are no longer one unit fighting for the same cause we are now us, them, those, and these. Those who have and those who don’t and if you are one of those unfortunately who don’t, then good night Vienna it’s time for you to go.

I am assuming this comment by you wannabe no longer stands lol
Some fans !!

He was brilliant at the devils , laugh a minute especially when players were allowed to interact in gretskys bar at the WNIR, thats when fans stayed around in the bar until every player interacted with the fans , and when the drinks were affordable , unfortunately thats gone from the vindico in that area with players leaving after the game , very few walk through the bar most leave through players entrance .
