i wonder if it would have been downgraded if it was a Devils player.

I remember the Voth incident where the Steelers player skated into him, and Voth had a few games as a ban.

I agree its not a check to the head but Ward is a vunerable position facing the boards and IMO Sestito should have pulled out. Maybe 2 plus 10 for boarding would have been the correct call?

In actual fact, he looked as though he coasted over there and laid on the hit. I shudder to think what he would do at full speed.
