Shirt Auction - Where has the Poppy Appeal Money Gone?

That was a nice piece on BBC Wales yesterday evening. Well done to Glynne for that.
I'm all for a proper presentation - while it is rewarding and worthwhile raising the monies for the Royal British Legion in and of itself it would be nice for the club to have a promotional opportunity that can get into the press - it would be smashing if we could organise a giant cheque to be presented - that's a great photo opportunity.
One thing - please can fans be a little bit patient as not all winners of jerseys paid cash on the night of the auction - cheques need time to clear and credit card payments need to be taken before the final sum can be handed over.
I think Viv is going to post the final auction prices a little later - we have a complete list and a copy was passed to the club after the auction - Ting Tong Bob - I think a few of your prices are slightly out which accounts for the discrepancy.
While it's not my place to speak for CH Sports I don't think that the club, Hicksy or Corky would mind me letting all you generous supporters of this worthy cause know that the jerseys were supplied at no cost to the club. I think that's fantastic of them as it means they have also directly contributed financially, in addition to all the time and effort that has gone into producing such lovely jerseys to mark the occasion.

Not too far out then :? , £4155 is a fantastic total amount for the RBL, cant see where there will be any admin deductions as jerseys were very generously donated by CH Sports.
I think a Large cheque presented on ice to the RBL before a match would be very fitting to the occasion, also keeps everything transparent.

Now i may be mistaken, but im sure i read on a previous thread that the Devils had handed over the money from the shirt auction to the RBL and they were more than happy with the monies received. It never said how much was handed over, maybe someone, Finny maybe will recollect which thread, but i certainly recall something being mentioned.

I believe that post was said in jest not an authoritive reply.
When last contacted to ensure money promised was handed over the RBL confirmed Brent Pope had eventually contacted them and stated all money raised WAS to be handed over minus a fee for designing the jersey and a fee to cover auction costs?????

you'd think that 2 months down the line this would have been put to bed with a nice "on ice" presentation and a photo in the Echo....... :?
perhaps we should wait till next poppy day and hope that the £3k+ has earned shed loads of interest after sitting in someone's bank account
