Signings/Departures Thread - All Teams 2026/27

Yes fuming g over that it was a deliberate attempt to injure, our players didnt want to know , ben even got up off the floor with a broken arm and still had a go at that Cheapshot, I really thought one of our players would take him on in our next game with panthers, but nope no reaction, if thommo was in charge all hell would've broke loose .
Russell looking after his GB player, why he should never coach in our leagues, too much conflict. Same with Shudra cross checking Busch over and over. Russell is by far worse coach i have seen when it came to allowing our players get bullied and do nothing about it

Correct. Broke Davies arm when pushed/crosschecked him from behind into the goal post. ISTR it virtually ended Ben's season even though initially it was thought to just be 4 weeks out, and Tetlow never had to answer for it. Pretty scummy behaviour to me. Just like those Panthers fans who cheered, even with it was clear Ben was down injured on the ice.
and worse dops did bugger all as well, shambles our league can be at times

Interestingly I think Devils are the only team leaguewide at the moment not to announce losing a player. Not the full set as there’s been others (plenty of teams with multiple!) but an example for each:

Belfast - Brandon Whistle
Nottingham - Ross Armour
Sheffield - Cole Shudra
Guildford - Ben Solder
Manchester - Nick Welsh
Coventry - Mat Robson
Glasgow - Brett Neumann
Dundee - Drydn Dow
Fife - Logan Neilson

… which means we’re pretty overdue! Imagine something quite soon.

That’s a very good point and I never thought of that, 3 -5 to go I reckon.

Most of the above have been confirmed as departing because their new club has been about to announce them, or in some cases already has.

Giants confirmed a couple retirees though.

Devils tend to not announce players that have been let go (and not found a new team yet), until the very end of the off season.

We will likely have Perlini announced by whichever EIHL side he signs with. Maybe Stoever announced as signing in NA, maybe same with Caponi. Doubt we will see Lacroix announced anywhere this side of August given his season just gone.

Other departures....who knows: Ferguson, Estes, MacDonald?

I’ve a feeling Lacroix will be in Nottingham with his mates. I’d be intrigued to see what he can do with a fully healed hand after playing the whole season injured.

He was our best puck recovery guy in the offensive zone.

Remaining Brits to sign:

Every team must have a fully registered British keeper, so looking at the teams current announced rosters and taking into account some teams are yet to announce their Brit keepers, each team has the remaining minimum number of Brit skater spots left to fill (excluding keepers):

Belfast: 2 left to fill
Cardiff: 0
Coventry: 2
Dundee: 3
Fife: 1
Glasgow: 1
Guildford: 3
Manchester: 2
Nottingham: 0
Sheffield: 0

So Nottingham and Sheffield do not need any more British skaters, Devils don’t need to sign any more Brit skaters but am 99% confident that Ben Davies will be announced shortly to complete our skating Britpack (in addition to Ben Bowns as our British keeper). Guildford and Dundee still need to announce the most skating Brits yet.

If Perlini is staying in the EIHL it looks unlikely it’ll be Nottingham or Sheffield though as the don’t need to sign any more British skaters.

Sheffield got 2 import keepers i believe in greenfield and Robson unless Robson is classed as a brit ?
