Interesting article on the BBC News last week where the WRU have installed Solar on the roof of the Principality Stadium. They anticipate it paying for itself in 3 years then I believe they mentioned it’s a £300,000 - £400,000 saving each year thereafter.

I know nothing about Solar and don’t have it myself, but looking at Google Maps, the roof space of the Vindico surely is a prime candidate? A lot of the blocks of flats opposite appear to have maxed out Solar on the roofs.

Not sure who owns what at the Vindico any longer or the rights to such things, but might be something the club should investigate to lower their energy bills and become a potential revenue stream on payback?

Hope there's no increase , cost of living not gone down,still going up., but thats for another day, let's enjoy the season ahead , my prediction , challenge cup and league.

the estimated payback period is 5 to 7 years

yielding annual electricity savings of £35,000 to £60,000.

its a large outlay of funds, and its still not your building ( long term its seat capacity that really matters )

better off hoping for a larger building to be built in the next 20 years
and just move in there. you may be lucky and get a car park.

also retro fitting apparently is very expensive

Out of intrest did the devils get prize money from continental cup winners from IIHF and for winning the playoffs from EIHL, then if do assume it goes into the club funds .
