Never thought I would read posts where Devils Fans are praising the Steelers, me personally I hope they win F***K ALL in Europe
and the Elite League !!
I don’t think anyone on here wants them to win in Europe - which is monstrously unlikely anyway, but they are flying the flag for the EIHL which certainly helps raise the profile of the league.

For a team of Pretenders Steelers are doing very well, and fair does to them for carrying the flag. Well played lads keep it going.

What are we going to say if the Steelers progress even further. Can't really call them pretenders at that point....then they will have risen up the rankings to be hanging out with the upper teams in this competition.

Another great achievement for the Steelers tonight. Keep flying the UK flag.

I don't want them to do well at all. But I guess one positive is that it hopefully will keep fatiguing them distracting them from the league games. As they seem to have 2 different sides at the moment, one that doesn't turn up to domestic games, only CHL games.
They have a home and away series against Berlin in the middle of November.

It does seem strange to drop a bit in their domestic games and do so well in CHL.
Ice hockey is a mental as well as a physical game.

Well I think it’s a fantastic achievement for the Steelers and British ice hockey - and good luck to them. It adds to the reputation and credibility of the EIHL, which can only be a good thing and may open the competition up to more teams from the UK in future years (although the CHL does appear to be a bit of a closed shop). Hopefully we can do similar next year!

I hope they do well in fairness, and have done so far credit to them, god that hurts to say that .But lets see how they get on against a proper team, like when they play us.

Good luck to them I say.. especially when fatigue kicks in plus potential injuries which affected us last season .plus the mental stress when they are knocked out at some point

DOPS suspend Ciampini 3 games for unproved attack on a coventry player from last sunday.. deserved as well looking at footage
can’t fault the league for their consistentcy. Three game for Ullet and three games for this fella who have both deliberately used their sticks to cause harm. One to the neck area and one to a defenseless player lying on the ice. Both done with intent to injure. That neck shot is awful and so dangerous. Can’t help but feel that any incident that now gets more then 3 games will come under serious scrutiny and it will surely have to be one of the worst acts we’ve seen on these shores (allowing for previous offending of course). 3 games for both those incidents in my opinion sets a dangerous benchmark and is way too lenient.
