Devils head to the house of tin to face the steelers in Sunday night Elite League action. steelers handed us a defeat in our last match up but can we make St David proud and send 7000 fans in orange home sad.

As mentioned before the last home game against the Steelers a couple of weeks ago, I believe that if we play rough, tough, and in their faces — and really rattle them by utilising the likes of Brandt, Caponi, Helgessen, Ferguson, and Lacroix — we can knock them off their game and get something out of it. If we try to compete with them on skill, ability, speed, and tactics like we did last time, I fear we’ll see a similar outcome.

Come on, Devils — we’ve got the guys to do this!

It’s a massive push now and we need to be all in — we’ve absolutely nothing to lose in my eyes. We can either keep up the pressure on Belfast by winning our games and going all out, or settle for competing for second, third, or fourth. Personally, I’m not bothered if we finish in any of those positions. I’d rather we go all out while we still have a slim chance of competing for top spot!

This is exactly how we need to play every game. We aren’t the most skilled, fastest etc, but we are one of the most physical teams and should be using that to our advantage. Sheffield need to be scared every time that they have the puck in case someone hammers them against the board.
I have said this every week for this season but when we play our own style of game we are really tough to beat.

Doesn't the team that finishes 2nd in the league get considered for Cont Cup selection? Wouldn't that be an even greater motivation to battle in these games?
There are going to be a few twists and turns this month. Any team can have can have an impact on final positions.
