Stoever has done very well in his first season as a pro for us and hopefully he will be back next season to improve even further.

But for me Bowns is still No. 1 and will be next season too.

Maybe so but we can’t keep burning through other-backup netminders after a season or two.

It’s time to look further out than that.

In Stoever we’ve found someone young and more than able. Hopefully the club back him, mentor and nurture him for the future.

We’ve probably already got a reputation with agents and netminders that if you go to Cardiff you’ll be playing second fiddle, hard to attract top talent experienced talent then.

We've seen it with Richie this year, age catches up and the drop off is steep. Especially with netminder sightings and reactions.

I agree that Bowns is still No. 1 until the end of the season, but I think 26/27 onwards we need to transition to a 60/40 ish split with Stoever taking the bulk of games. Hes shown he is more than capable and we must put faith in him with Bowns getting on

Did hear a rumour that nxt season could be Bownsies last year before retiring
