Successful Pre-:Season Events from Another Club.

Detest the Steelers all we want, they have hosted a couple of successful pre-season events:

1. Last week they held an event launching their jerseys (and selling them) and Thompson introduced all the new players to the crowd. Meet and greet afterwards. Attendance over 1000+ fans :shock:

2. During the Summer Twitter and website photos of players helping out at Steelers' stand or inflatable goal promoting the club at local events.

Whatever happened to Devils' inflatable goal? They used to do a lot of off season promotion years' ago.

Also remember double-page spreads in 'the Echo' with team photo and season game schedule. Wonder if there are any plans for something like that again....or even game schedule flyers for distribution?

Manchester have been doing a fantastic job over the summer on Twitter, keeping the atmosphere & excitement levels pretty high. Also getting out to different events promoting the Storm & the up & coming season.

For some reason the Devils have been pretty flat on that this summer.

I was working at the Swalec Stadium for the Glamorgan T20 match nights and the inflatable goal was definitely there for a few of them with CJ, Richie and Mark Smith.

Just thought - sure we had an Echo spread last 2 seasons

I think the Echo publish the season preview/fixtures nearer the start of the league/cup campaign.
