If you still have no faith in our owners, Todd, and Thommo then you should get a grip. This isn’t aimed at Kontos 27, We will have a bloody awesome team come season time. And by the way when you have played for season after season in the Swedish Finnish league the Elite league is likes 4th division football. We have the same if not better D than last season, and the forwards when complete will be a upgrade, chill out and enjoy the ride.

completely agree. LIIGA is miles above us and the fact that hes played in SHL aswell, isn't SHL a step higher than AHL?

Eriksson played 37 SHL games and finished with 7 points.
Panu's latest SHL season was 49 games with 8 points. The season before that was 18 games for 8 points.
Eriksson went on to play 31 games with 24 points for Belfast.
I think it's fair game to expect big things from Panu honestly.

To play in the Finnish Liiga or SHL a player would have to be highly skilled and play with finesse and speed. No suprise the top seeded CHL teams each year tend to be those from Scandanavia.

I think it’s all about context. We now have two forwards who’ve played 3rd and 4th Iines in the 6th best (and most defensive) league in the world, and one has played 2 seasons as a 3rd/4th liner in the 3rd best league in the world, and they’re now coming to play in the 14th best league in the world, and on top of that we have a new defencemen who has 2 years in the 6th best league and 3 years in the 8th best league joining us.

Also stunned but delighted that Mieho has joined. Over 300 Liiga games. Liiga is a more physical league than most so that side of the game won't be a problem, but you also need to skate incredibly well too. He wore the A for 3 years, and having 3 20 point seasons from probably the 3rd line is an impressive achievement too.
Add to that, the seasons in the SHL is an added bonus as that league is different with more speed and skill needed so he obviously ticks those boxes too.

Absolutely spot on - and consistent player in the SHL too. SHL is only bettered by the NHL and possibly KHL. I expect this guy to be pretty rapid, intelligent and mature, and will be very quick to adjust to this league. I’ll be amazed if he is not one of our top point getters. He has the pedigree, without doubt!

Good hands i thought but didnt use his size in the corners, instead of being more physical he seemed to hug or just hold the player instead of smashing them into oblivion.
