Teplitsky to Chavs?

I will be extremely disgusted if he goes to the Blaze. If we don't sign him (with him being available) it will be a sure sign that we don't intend to make a challenge for anything this season. if the Devils can't be bothered to make these sorts of changes then I don't see why fans should be bothered to turn up to every game.

Tyson decided to leave Cardiff did he not? He wasn't that good anyway (imho) so why should G go after him now? As I understand it, Tyson said he wanted to play at a "higher level", if he thinks the Blaze is a "higher level" then good luck to him. Clearly though after moderate success in Cardiff, he left to play for a better team, but clearly nobody wants him.

Tyson was very good Tony. Without doubt the best defenceman we've had since the ISL and I reckon he could easily have been a top player at that level too.
I haven't really seen enough of Likit to be able to judge how good he is. He's played at a high level throughout his career so perhaps he is just taking a while to settle in.
I'd be gutted if he went to Coventry. If the wagecap allowed it then I think I'd be inclined to try to bring him back.

Did you honestly not rate him Tony? That’s fine, I’m just surprised to hear any Devils fan say that.
Should Tyson even consider returning to the UK for any club they have to make the appropriate changes to have him in their maximised cap. If he came back to Cardiff, changes would need to be made. Likewise with Coventry.
I would imagine Tyson would demand a healthy wage within reason and justifiably so. I, like many I would imagine, would welcome Tyson back with open arms. Speaking as someone brought up on a diet of Lindman, Hope, Cooper and Noble, I thought he was ok, but no superstar.
He left us to pursue his career at a higher standard, and that's fine, but you shouldn't go crawling back when it all goes tits up imho.
Besides, from what I've seen so far this season, if the Devils have a weakness, it's at the other end of the ice.

I've only been watching hockey for just over 2 years and my knowledge of the game is nowhere near some of you other posters here.
Having attended pretty much every home game last year and the occasional away though, I would love to see Tyson back. Obviously wage caps and import slots are an important factor in that happening.
For me, we will score goals this year. Silverthorn and Prpich are looking good, Campbell too and we all know Voth will chip in with his equal share. I see the problem as the D. We've signed these big guys to 'bully' teams on our smaller ice pads but if they can't keep up then they're not going to be able to bully anyone. Jarvis and MacIver in particular seem real slow to change direction in any way.
I'd be happy to bring Tyson back and play with the philosophy that Kevin Keegan had in his first stint at Newcastle (basically that we will score more than the oppo with our attacking play whilst understanding that we are going to concede).
As fr Hinks, thats for another thread some time soon......

That’s fair comment Tony but like yourself many of us have also had the joy of watching the calibre of Lindman, Hope, Cooper and Noble but also resongise that this isn’t the Superleague anymore.
At Elite League level, Tyson is arguably the best offensive defenceman the league has had other than Neil Martin.

I have been watching the devils for more years thani would like to mention and i honestly think he is one of the better offensive "d" men we have had...
he seemed to have an age on the puck and could dance around players better than some of the forwards we have had..
his stick work and also positional sense i thought was outstanding and i think he suited the style of hockey G was playing and indeed this year with the better defensive players he would be playing with a player of his skills can excel more.. i would not know who he would drop for him but thats G's job not mine..
with regards to the Kevin keegan quote i would prefer to only have to score once as we had a clean sheet than score seven times because they scored six.......

What did he get last year? 54 points compared to Anderssons 26........ok I know different leagues have different standards, but he also has age on his side and should be getting close to his prime.
Andersson is the same age as me and if he feels like I do, hockey would be the last thing I'd be doing :lol: !
With the three big stay at home guys and Stoney also, Teplitsky would thrive with us this term. What with us using Silverthorn on D marshaling the powerplay, imaging having both of them for special teams?

tyson was the best attacking defenceman we had last season he used to get hold of the puck and fly towards the opposing team at a 100mph the other teams didnt know what to do or how to stop him and both my girlfriend and her father think the very same as me and we would love him to come back hopefully for mciver coz he's just rhino on stilts,he doesnt get anywhere very fast,plus if he went to the blaze it would be a bigger kick in the teeth than deschesalets going there? :twisted:
I don't see Teplitsky as a like for like replacement for Andersson. Ok they both fill the role of offensive defenseman, but Andersson is our powerplay quarterback.
As terrific a player as Teplitsky was/is, running the powerplay was not his strength. Our powerplay was woeful last year, but this year we have a pretty good powerplay that I think is only going to get more consistent. It is significantly better than last year. The difference? Andersson.
Put simply - if we get rid of Andersson we can wave goodbye to our PP IMO. It was crap last night after he went off.

Firstly i dont think any thread, or how unhappy we may be, should have the sentence. Then I don't see why fans should be bothered to turn up to every game. If this team went tits up for any reason, and that could happen if no bugger goes, then that would land all of us in the SHITE. As for Tyson, i could,nt see him going to the Chavs at all, thats my view on things.
