One thing about it, at least they are consistent.

Post Re: Steelers Latest
This season that will see a Steelers team probably float around in the mire with fan unrest, and all the other fun stuff that comes in the death throws of a Philips run team.

Those interested in the future of the team need to start going out making people excited about buying the team. There must be someone out there who can turn the team around, and head for self sustaining profitability.

You would have thought Bob would have learn't his lesson in Cardiff, and you get the on ice success once the club was profitable - the reverse doesn't happen.

Im still suprised that this guy was allowed to run the Steelers after his events at Cardiff.

Id like to hope that the league might even think about stepping in and stop the Phillips co from ruining the Steelers any further and then stop them from buying any other team in this league.

They are just a bad stink in British ice hockey. Everything they touch goes from greatness to nothing.

Thank god we got taken off them as i dread to think what may have become of us.

In todays Sheffield Star article they have an interview with Marc Twaite. He appears to be claiming that he has been told the Steelers will be introducing wagecuts into the team this week - before the season has even started!!

oops  This doesn't sound very encouraging, particularly as it appears that Ben Simon has received verbal guarantees from most of the players that they will return. Only players he is waiting for seem to be: Steve Munn, Talbot, Tait, Philips, Domish and Woolhouse.

Sheffield's new website is finally up and running. However, on the team page there is no mention of Ashley Tait or Joe Talbot.

And their 'big news' from last night was that Ben Simon had convinced Jono Phillips to return. So presumably he was planning on quiting as rumoured.

Tait isn't going anywhere either

Just 'officially' waiting on Talbot now.
