ENL Devils v Invicta Dynamos Saturday 14th January

As the Devils are not around all weekend due to the triple header in Scotland, why not head down to watch the future of the club play against one of their fierce rivals! This game is one not to miss after the last encounter and all the support for the team will be hugely appreciated.
The ENL Devils welcome their close friends Invicta Dynamos to the big blue tent this weekend. ENL Devils go into this game on the back of signing a new import Cameron Birrell from Oxford City Stars after their hiatus and a win v Milton Keynes Thunder 6-1
The last encounter was a somewhat rough affair to say the least with the game being abandoned halfway through the second period due to on and off the ice incidents- Still no ruling from the league on the outcome for both teams so as far as we know, both teams will be at full strength. Previous encounters have ended 8-3 Devils and the other as above uncompleted with the score at the time 3-1 Dynamos.
Dynamos suffered a heavy loss the last trip to the blue tent but they have enough fire power in the ranks to take the points with players such as Ex Devil Corey Watkins, Ryan Ellis, Andy Smith and Justin Noble.
We got a few words from Chris Hart on last weekend and the upcoming Invicta game.
“I think last weekend we played really well against a Milton Keynes side that can be a banana skin for teams, Wight link have lost twice so far to them and I think it was credit to the boys that we got the win comfortably in the end. We were really strong throughout our 3 lines and pinned them in their zone for large parts of the game. We have really improved in this area recently and if we want to do well throughout the rest of the season and into the playoffs it is essential to keep pressure on teams. I thought Cameron was great he really fitted in really well with a good mix of skill and grit. He could be a stand out player for us for the rest of the season and really adds depth to the squad!
This weekend is a big game for us, and one that always is played hard and fast and I’m sure will be a great advert for ENL hockey, with Invicta just behind us in the standings it is important we get the points from this weekend’s game and any support from fans not travelling to Scotland will be much appreciated by the boys!!”
We also spoke to Adam Harding who gave his views
“The MK game was a good team effort to get a win, guys fought hard for 60 min. First game back from our long break usually there are some tired legs out there but everyone seemed to be fit and ready to go. It was a great debut for our new import Cameron he played a great game. It was a close game to start off but we stuck with the game plan and broke threw for the MK team leading 3-1 going into the third. Final score was 4-1, goals from harding (2), deacon, preece, hayze.
The Invicta game coming up this Saturday will be a big one for us not only will it secure our 3rd place in the league but it is a great rivalry game for us. Last game against Invicta was a rough one with a couple fights and a few guys with some missing teeth, so I am sure that we will be coming out hard and wanting a win against one of our biggest rivals. The more fans we get so come cheer us on at the game the higher the intensity will be, we need our red army behind us so come on down and watch the ENL Cardiff devils take on the invicta dinamos Saturday at the BBT”
