The first devils home game was 37 years ago today. Despite what the devils social media team might think.

I wasn't at that first one, but started going the following week. Amazing times, but how things have changed.

Unreal how much safety changed these days, wonder if anyone has one of the game worn jersey`s from that game

Loved the early days, a lot more "raw" hungry hockey, no netting around the dasher. I can
remember going to Southampton to watch a Devils "home" game now that was a brutal rink !!!

Oh yeah, Southampton. The only rink I've ever been in where the bar was bigger than the ice pad. A typical Mecca rink falling apart and the 80s answer to planet ice.

Fair play. I’ve given as much stick as most about the logo but at least they are still paying homage to the legacy logo (still hate the new one)
