As it has been a couple of months since we launched, we though we would post & provide you with a quick update on how plans for the 4On4 Road Trip are progressing.
The 4on4 Road Trip is a charity event raising money for Cancer Research UK which will see four Nottingham Panthers fans take in four Elite Ice Hockey League games in four countries in four days, visiting every single Elite League hockey club venue on our journey.
Our trip will begin on the afternoon of Thursday March 15th at The National Ice Centre, Nottingham heading to Cardiff for the Devils game against Edinburgh Capitals calling at Coventry’s Skydome on the way. Straight after the game in Wales, we will drive north to board a ferry to Northern Ireland to take in the Belfast Giants Friday game against Sheffield Steelers at the Odyssey Arena. We will jump on the first ferry back to Scotland for Saturday’s visit to all the Elite League venues in Scotland. After calling at the homes of the Edinburgh Capitals, Dundee Stars and Fife Flyers we will watch the Flyers play the Clan at the Braehead Arena on the Saturday evening. A very early start on the Sunday morning will see us visiting the Sheffield Steelers and Hull Stingrays before finishing our journey back where we started at Nottingham, taking in the Panthers versus Clan for our fourth and final game.
You can now make a donation to the 4on4 Road Trip on line at our JustGiving Site . Donating via this method are easy, quick and secure and your money goes directly to Cancer Research UK.
I am pleased to say that we are now in a position to confirm our route. You can find full details of when we will be visiting your team at our website. The timings listed on there are currently subject to change but we should be in position to confirm those in the next few days. Once we have completed confirmed timings we will let you know.
We can definitely confirm that we will be visiting the games in Cardiff on Thursday, 15th March, Belfast, Braehead and finishing our journey at the game in Nottingham on Sunday, 18th March.
Thanks to the work of Chris Ellis and Andy French we have also received permission to use the Elite League logo. This has been added to our logo and will appear on our specially made jerseys (provided by CrazyKennys), hooded sweatshirts and polo shirts (provided by AG Printing ), website and any other material. Copies of our shirts (complete with your name and numbers), hoodies and polos should be available soon so keep checking the website for more details.
Our work to attract sponsorship continues to go from strength to strength and we hope to add at least a couple more companies before our deadline at the end of January. We were very pleased to announce last week the RHPS refrigeration services have agreed to become our accommodation sponsors. We only have a limited number of sponsorship slots still available including our ferry journey to Belfast and our car hire for the trip. With the kind assistance of the Bunkers Hill Inn in Nottingham we are hosting an evening with Danny Meyers and Dave Simms. Tickets for this event sold out in just over 24 hours and it promises to be a very interesting event.
