Any news on Lacosta

I personally think the devils should be a but better with releasing information. Even if it just said not playing tonight, more news soon

On injuries I don't think they should be.

Look at NHL releases on injuries they are very sheepish and give very minimal info only when they have to.

I don t think they should release details of specific injuries if players are playing ,in case opposing teams target those areas but a simple playing or not playing does not affect the team, the other team just make two plans, one for either netminder.

It could however affect the attendance/income, this is not a criticism of Joe as I understand he has done an excellent job in the friendlies but friendlies are now over and league points are at stake

Yea wasn't thinking a full report, maybe just, "he's ok but as a precaution he will not play tonight"

We should at least know whether he is playing or not and maybe a rough estimate on how long he will be out for, that cannot harm anyone surely

Agree with Skippy, the less the Giants know for certain in advance of the game the better. If they were to know that LaCosta definitely wasn't starting then they might change their tactics accordingly.

Or maybe they don't actually know yet. Unless G, Franny or the kit man have secretly been doing a medicine doctorate, specialising in head injuries then I doubt they will be able to find out on the team bus. Then today the team probably got in around 5/6am and I imagine would get some sleep first and foremost including Lacosta. It's safe to assume he won't be icing after a second head injury within a week, it's one game it's not as if its the playoff final. I don't know why people think they have a right to know within a 24 hour period.

Any one got Petr Chech's mobile number?
Maybe he could borrow his rubber skull cap thingy?

On a serious note, would announcing that LaCosta wasn't playing, possibly effect the attendance or people buying the stream?
Defeatist attitude and all that.

I have heard he's going to see a WRU head injury specialist today. He deals with all the Welsh teams head injuries so at least laCosta has some quality care with what ever that find out has happened

Apparently the Fife doctor told him he wasn't hit at all leading him to worry he was just blacking out. Replay of the incident shows he took a skate to the back of the head. Rest him for another week at least.

if that's what the fife doc said that's really worrying for fife players and opposing players come to that!!
