Not worried about losing tonight, it's challenge cup so it means next to nothing as the format is garbage and we are 4 players down and things will still need tweaking.

Booth really needs to sort himself out with how slow he's moving around, I've never seen a goalie be that slow it's just weird, especially when he's supposed to be an upgrade from Kozun because so far it looks like we down graded our import goalie.

Strange game and would agree with a lot of the comments here. Not overly convinced that the loss is a sign of things to come - the performance was frustrating tonight but not in the way it was at times last season. We ran into a hot Kozun (one stop from Crandall was a highlight reel save) and gave McNulty and Kirkup too much space. On another day we would have won comfortably but.... not today.

Good to see us utilising Mosey and Busch as a screen on the PP and also good to see Bayley Harewood take a regular shift, not look out of place and be defensively responsible - he did well tonight.

One of those games unfortunately, will be interesting to see how the team responds next weekend, hopefully we will have some bodies back

This has been mentioned before but worth reiterating - the EIHL stats service has really gone up a notch this year and we now have TOI as well as a host of other statistics. So you can see HERE that Ritchie had just over 21 minutes on the ice which is pretty much what you would expect.

Mosey had the greatest TOI (a tad under 26 minutes) whilst Harewood was on the ice for around 9 minutes.

The expected goals (HERE) is also interesting - you can see that after an even first period, the Blaze edged the second but then were battered in the third, sadly though the puck would not go in. When you look at the 'danger' stats you can see the issue, a significant majority of shots from the Devils were 'low danger' whereas Blaze had three opportunities which would normally result in a goal (they actually only scored one of them)

This may only appeal to stats geeks but I think credit where credit is due to the EIHL, this is a great resource and a great way of reflecting back on a game

Anyway, in answer to the original question, yes Ritchie did play and he played a significantly greater number of minutes than Saturday so.... that's one positive from Sunday

I assume 2 of the Blaze high danger shots are shots on an empty goal as they are shots that went wide from outside the zone?
